This lens provides me with the quality and sharpness I have been aching for through all the years I have owned the Sony mirrorless. Currently I have the a6500 and was feeling not so positive about the whole camera system and had considered moving on to another brand. I have the 16, 18-200, 18-55, and others and go through periods of love/hate with my photography and creating videos. After realizing that I would be spending $2,000 for another brand, I decided to buy the 18-135 to not only save a lot of money, but to inspire a new hope in what I do. Once I received the lens, I was shocked by the dramatic difference in image quality and the videography was so much better. This lens has helped me to push my a6500 further and go through all the menus and choose much better settings that are yielding much better photo and videos. I cant imagine using this camera without this lens. I would highly suggest you take a look at this lens to see if it would help you, too. I am grateful I didnt buy another camera brand and happy for the cost of this lens.

Really pleased with this lens. I debated on which one to order for months and was looking at this one versus the power zoom lens. This lens takes beautiful images And I’m really happy with the results. It’s light weight and very portable. Great for travel and even fits in my purse.

Ive had my A6300 for about 9 months now, and started with the kit 16-50 and the 55-210 telephoto. Together, these werent a bad combination, but it is frustrating to have to switch lens to get the range I really wanted. The 18-135 is pretty much just right. Dont miss the extra 2mm at the wide end, and the 135 tele is usually enough. It is a perfect walk-around lens. And the quality is really quite good. I had been using a Sigma 18-250 on my Canon SLR, which really covers the full range of wide to telephoto, but the A6300 + 18-135 is just so much smaller and convenient, it will just be with me more that the giant Canon + Sigma. And that size combo is the real point - a one-lens quiver for my A6300.

I love this lens! By far a much better lens than the sel1650 kit lens which oringally came with my A6000. Though honestly, I was not sure as when I first got the lens, as photos at the extreme range of 135mm (205mm FF equivlant) did not seem tack sharp to me. This said, my old kit lens only went to 50mm . . . as it turned out, I had not adjusted my shooting to the longer focal range, and apparently cannot hold a lens still enough (even with OSS) at the longest range without it affecting my photo sharpness. I upped my minimum iso to 400 on my camera, and amazingly enough, everything is coming back tack sharp with a combo of increased shutter speed and aperature to compensate for my lack of holding the lense steady, and giving me a larger depth of field. No complaints here. Worth every penny. In combination with my SEL 10-18 (also highly recommended), I am very happy with this setup. Would buy again.

I was pleasantly surprised by the image quality of this compact and lightweight zoom lens. When it was first introduced in February I was not too sure about it and wanted to see more positive reviews before committing. Then I had to go on a European tour for which this lens would be very well suited. Then the price dropped $100 which made the purchase a no-brainer. This lens has performed very well. It is sharp throughout its zoom range and aperture. I wont say it is as sharp as my Sigma lenses, but it is certainly much sharper than my previous Sony zooms. The construction also appears to be much sturdier, with no wobble in the zoom tube as it extends. Compact and lightweight - perfect for traveling.

This is by far my favorite travel lens, I have it with me every day and makes for a great back up to my more expensive lenses because I get the entire range that I shoot in. I dream this will come in f1.8 - f2.8, but to have small, light weight lens with me is so awesome.

Best picture quality? No; to get the best bokeh & sharpness, Ill still be reaching for my 35mm prime. But for a day-trip where I dont want to be swapping out lenses - its great! Its certainly as good picture quality as the 16-50 kit lens and the 55-210 lens (which I also have), and is a lot less weight than carrying those two combined, and I dont miss the range (I tend to crop to zoom when editing anyway). I bought a "like new" used lens from Amazon Warehouse so the price point was less painful than the full $598 list. Id recommend this one if you dont have a travel zoom already and would like one... but wait for a sale or another used deal to come around.

I purchased this camera for travel and have found it to be the perfect lens it you do not want to be constantly changing fixed lens. The only down-side is the fact it is a bit slower, in terms of f-stop, so it shines in brighter light situations. The auto-focus is also a real plus when using this lens for wildlife shots.

I like the size and weight of the lens. Its an ok lens but once you take RAW picture youll notice ugly vignette and distortion :( . I didnt realize until after 30 days of purchase so no possible returns and I will have to live with it for some time. :( . Some pictures quality is good some have noise... still playing with it ...
