I am using this adapter for my 30 years old Canon EF mount lenses which is 50mm F1.8 and 28 to 70mm F3.5-4.5. It electronically communicates, so I can change exposure fine. The auto focus is very slow and some focal distance, it does not work. I am happy to be able to use these lenses I already have since I use manual focus most of the time. I use this on A7III and use focus magnifier, so focusing is no problem for me.

Works great with the Sigma ART 35mm f1.4. Not blazing fast but it will use the PDAF of the II series Sony A7 cameras like my A7II. The quick firmware updating was relatively painless and supersedes the lens firmware so you dont have to worry about getting the Sigma lens dock(s). As with any adapted autofocus lens, the accuracy and speed is not perfect. I found it struggled in very low light unless I could find contrasting areas and some have said AF-C works a bit more reliably than AF-S, which is contrary to how I usually use my AF lenses. Build and finish are good, above par for your usual lens adapter. The box is your expected black and white Sigma affair like with their lenses. Overall, probably a must-have if youre adapting several Sigma lenses to the Sony bodies but makes less financial sense if youre only using one (like I am).

Great option for allowing the outstanding Tamron 70-200 G2 Canon version adapt to a Sony e-mount system. One of my favorite lenses is the 70-200 and I picked up the 70-200+MC-11 for just over eleven hundred dollars. Mounted on my a7iii it focuses quickly and accurately including Eye-Focus. The four stars is because it does not track in video. I knew this beforehand and it works for me because I seldom use the 70-200 for video. For video it requires manual focus. Overall a great alternative to the Sony 70-200 G-Master.

I use this with my A7 II and its a great solution to using Canon EF lenses on a Sony FF body. It adds about an inch to the overall length of the EDF lens. I use it with a 16-35mm 2.8 L, 50mm 1.8 & 85 1.8. The Sony equivalents are either too expensive and/or not as good. OK theyre smaller & lighter in many cases but the EF lenses are a proven commodity, plentiful, sharp & well-priced. All lenses Ive used with the MC11 auto-focus very quickly, AE works perfectly & all EXIF data is included with the file. I very highly recommend this adapter.

Im using this with my 18-35mm Sigma Lens, 30mm 1.4 and also a Canon 50mm 1.4 and 85mm 1.4. This this is awesome. It is built exceptionaly well and handles all my lenses perfectly. The Sigmas are a bit slower than the Sony Natives but this converter makes it happen. On the Canons, it hurts sometimes but again, definitely worth buying this and saving yourself some cash. Best converter out there. If you have Canon EF lenses, this will not work. I would point you to the Fotodiox Pro Converter.

I am using it with the A7iii and a variety of mostly older Canon glass including Canon, Tamron and Sgma. Works best with the 24-105 Sigma I just bought, but all other glass also work fine, to varying degrees. My 70-200 2.8, actually performs better on this than my Canon. What you give up are some of the focusing modes, nut the ability to focus and do face and eye tracking in the basic focus mode. Highly recommended

[[ASIN:B01C7A3W7S Sigma Mount Converter MC-11 For Use With Canon SGV Lenses for Sony E I bought this to use with the Sony A7iii and my canon lenses and it works well with every lens I tried with it. Focused and did eye tracking with my Tamron 24-70 2.8, my Canon 70-200 2.8, and my Canon nifty fifty 1.8, and made using my tilt-shift lenses on the sony a snap. An essential accessory for anyone moving from Canon DSLR to Sony A-series cameras, especially the A7iii.

Verdict: You really just get what Sigma tells: AF only with the Sigma list of fully supported lenses. Not working AF in most other cases. From many very positive reviews regarding the wonderfull working AF with most Canon lenses I expected usable AF for at least some Canon lenses on some Sony bodies. I did not expect very fast AF or even AF-C. But the adapter is completely useless for AF in all my tested combinations. I got focusing times of around 5-10s: Cameras: Sony A7R2, A6000, NEX5T, NEX 5 Lenses: Canon 16-35 1:4 L; Canon 24-105 1:4 L, Canon 85 1;1,8 USM, Canon 70-300 DO IS; Sigma 105 1:2,8 Macro Pro: -very good build -reliable electrical contacts (not normal with cheap adapters) -aperture working with all tested lenses Contra: -Dont expect AF on lenses not on the fully supported list from sigma -if you want to use it with other lenses test your camera/lens combination with the adapter before

Bought this and the 35mm 1.4 Art lens to use on my Sony A7II, overall Im satisfied with the combo. Adapter seems to be well made and has tight tolerances when connecting to the body of my A7II. Auto-focus speed is acceptable and definitely usable, but it does want to hunt a lot and when that happens it slows the whole flow down dramatically. Update: After more extensive use, I had to remove another star...the hunting while focusing drives me up a wall, it drastically slows down focusing compared to native glass. It also struggles a bit with accuracy in low light and back lit subjects...hopefully they resolve some of these issues via firmware soon cause I do love my 35mm Art.

I bought this after having problems with the Fotodiox EF to E adapter losing communication with lenses. The Sigma adapter costs more than twice as much, but it works with all of my lenses 100% of the time, no issue (Canon, "L", and Sigma). Definitely worth the extra money over Fotodiox. I should note that Im using this for video and have not tried to use the autofocus function at all. Electronic Aperture and IS work perfectly.
