I had to return this because it didnt work with my Sigma lens at all. I tested a rented mc-11 adapter with my Sigma 50mm f1.4 EX DG HSM lens (version before the Art series). It worked perfectly, so I ordered on because I love that 50mm lens. The one I received came with the latest firmware and it didnt even recognize my lens. I couldnt AF or even change the aperture. I contacted Sigma and told them all of this and asked if I could get the old firmware to install since the rental model I tested worked perfectly. They outright refused and said they dont support that lens....even though the older firmware works flawlessly with the adapter. I love sigma lenses, but after their handling of this and know firmware updates are a big thing on all their current lenses, I dont think I will be able to buy their lenses anymore. Of you allow firmware updates , that is great. If you update and break a product with firmware that is not great. If you refuse to allow a customer to revert back to older firmware, that is unacceptable.

Bought to use with a "red-dot" sigma 50mm 1.8 and a Sony a7r III. While the lens will attach, only manual focus is possible and the adapter seems to cause my camera to randomly freeze. Cannot control the fstop either, so it works as a physical link, but nothing else. The random freezing doesnt occur with the Sony FE lens I bought with the camera. Its usable, so I give it a 2 star rating. If the auto focus worked at all, even slowly as others stated along with the fstop, I would have given it 4 stars.. Cant give it 5 stars even with the focus working since it causes my camera to freeze and have to be reset by removing the lens and battery. FYI - Does not fit any white-dot crop sensor lenses, only the dual purpose red dot lenses.
