Excellent Lens and so far it has performed flawlessly for me. I included one of my first macro shots with this lens taken in our yard.

I didnt like the feel of this lens, nor the focusing ability. It also auto-changed the f-stop depending on focal length. Thats probably fine for most users, but I prefer more control.

Lens has been WONDERFUL!!! I thought it was going to be a compromise--I was looking for a tele that was reasonable in price and good fast aperture. Apparently, that is in the $1K range. There arent many primes in the tele range, either. So, when I found out about this one, I figured I would give it a chance. Well priced, highly rated, and image samples found on the net are all very good. So definitely worth it! Positives: --Great image quality. Seriously, super sharp and great out of focus areas --Awesome portrait lens. --the macro is very accurate --thing is built like a tank --image stabilization is very good. Negatives: --since it is built like a tank, it is a little heavy. Makes the camera feel a little unbalanced --Wish it were more like 120mm or so (but thats a personal gripe lol) Other: --Use the full size lens hood. It comes with full size, and APS-C hood, but the full size is more than enough, plus you can screw on to the lens backwards and make lens profile much smaller than you can with the APS-C hood. GREAT lens, especially for the $$!

Produces beautiful bokeh and captures true to color photos. My only complaint is that focus time can be so long that its not hard to miss the desired photo... Child/animal moving.

When the lens AF-M switch is in AF mode, the display on my camera rapidly and erratically switches between AF and MF mode. The lens makes no attempt to auto focus. The lens works perfectly in manual mode. Note, This was a previously owned lens. I have no idea how old it is.

This is a full frame FX 35mm type of lens that is heavy, bulky and solid. The pictures are darn near perfect. I use it on a DX body and the results are really nice.

What an amazing lens - can really pull out the details for macro shooting as well as add depth for landscape pictures. Used with my Nikon 750d.

This is a great lens. I have been a photo enthusiast since I was 10 so for 45 years. This sig macro is amazing. Easily as good as the Nikon version. At the current sale price you can not go wrong.

Takes great closeups. I have to practice getting the focus just right because I do not like using my cameras (Nikon D750) auto feature. Lens functions great!

This is a wonderful macro lens, I’ve read it can be used for portrait too, however I’ve only used it for macro Update This was sold as a US version but per Sigma this is an international gray market lens so buyers beware!!!
