Ive owned this great lens for about eight months, and although it doesnt come out of my bag a lot, when I need or want a VERY wide angle shot the Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5 has no equal. The color and contrast it delivers without any post-production modification is truly amazing. Every image has an eye-catching "snap," even if the subject is very hum-drum. The f/3.5 costs more than its slower brother, but I have no regrets about spending the extra bucks for the constant aperture. Its one less thing to worry about in low(er) light conditions. On indoor shots or those where you want fill flash, the Sigma delivers great results matched with the Canon 430ex ii (just pull down the wide angle screen over the flash head thats built in to the 430). Auto focus is fast and accurate, and images are sharp enough at any focal length (I use it mainly at 10-15mm). The Sigma is very solidly built (slightly heavy, because of the excellent glass), and its a visually attractive lens as well. Comes with a well padded zipper case, for secure shelving when you dont need it in your bag. No regrets on this purchase at all.

Replaced a Tamron 10 to 24 that was dropped. I use this for real estate photos. I think the Tamron was a better lens for $150 more. I use this lens on manual. Infinity focus at f 11 or smaller. Infinity focus mark is iffy meaning the focus ring goes past infinity. Barrel distortion is more than Tamron but fixable in PS. The lens may have more flare than the Tamron as well. not the best Sigma has to offer but its still a pretty amazing lens when compared to the super low budget, only 3 pieces of glass, all plastic canon lens it replaced. Very rarely it will have a fit and not want to focus or take a string of pictures ever so slightly out of focus but adjusting the focus manually a tiny bit gets it to calm down and work correctly again. Ill adjust it with my dock and see if that alleviates the issues

This Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5 EX DC HSM ELD SLD lens is a quality made lens, but seriously lacks versatility for any of the Canon APS-C sensor cameras. Since you multiply the 10-20 by 1.6, and get a lens that is 16-32mm, this is not really a good lens for very many photos. It is clearly not a portrait lens, and not much of a really wide angle either. The lens also is not very fast and does not have image stabilization. Other than that, it has descent glass and a good mount.

This lens is amazing! I have several Canon L Series lenses, but I decided to buy this for my wide angle needs as I just wasnt willing to pay the extra cost for the L series, and I think this one had the zoom range I was looking for. Im sooo glad I didnt. This lens is amazing. I use it for professional photo and video in Chicago, and it is a major game changer. I bought this thinking I would upgrade to L series at some point, but after using it there is just no need... It has a good weight, and I love having the fixed aperture. One thing for video use is it doesnt have an image stabilizer, but you wont find a wide angle lens with a stabilizer so really thats a non-factor. Images are sharp, have very rich color, and no real vignetting. The autofocus is fast and accurate, and I honestly cant recommend this highly enough. I bought a circular polarizer for it, and the images that I have gotten have impressed my clients and myself every step of the way. If you need a wide lens, dont hesitate to buy this one. For any videographer wanting to use this, I have used this on tripods, monopods, and sliders, and it doesnt pick up much shake due to it width. You also are fortunate enough with the zoom range to have a little fisheye effect at 10, but it is pretty much gone at 20mm, so you can get multiple styles without having to switch lenses. This lens has really impressed me. If youre gonna buy a wide lens, this is the one to go with!

Fantastic lens, absolutely worst lens cap Ive ever dealt with. The cap never completely connects and falls off constantly. I use this lens for Real Estate work so Im in-and-out of my car and houses with it all day long and the lens cap falls off far too many times. It also falls off the lens even in a bag, quite frequently.

I got this a couple months ago and I have to say its a very good lens for the price. I got mine used but in "Like New" condition. First of all, this lens has a sturdy metal lens mount, so when you lock the lens into the camera mount, you know for sure its not coming off unless it gets hit by a speeding baseball bat. The lens itself also has amazing build quality for the money. Ive dropped it a few times and it still powers on like a champ. Even when Im photographing in light rain, it still performs very well. The lens is can be very sharp in the center at around f/8, but when you start stopping it up to f/3.5 then youll lose a little bit of sharpness, but its not that easy to notice unless youre really pixel-peeping. Unfortunately the edges of all the photos you take within the 10-15mm range will tend to be pretty blurry and seem stretched out. So just keep that in mind. The autofocus is decently fast, nothing too impressive, but it can really nail the focus when you want it to. This lens paired with my 7D Mark II allows for almost 80% of my burst shots to be in focus. Pretty dang good. Overall I would highly recommend the Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5 to anyone who is looking for a great low-budget wide angle lens. You can get some really creative photos with this thing!

This is my second SIGMA lens in 3+ years that has stopped working on me. My 17-50mm was getting harder to focus and noticed that the glass was grinding inside. So I bought a SIGMA 10-20mm just under a year ago and it s aperture is stuck on 00 & auto focus doesnt work. I dont think that is very fair. My old analog Pentax is still kicking from the 70s. Guess Ill stop using SIGMA and go straight to the source; hello Canon. Any suggestions on returns of a lens before the year is up?
