PANASONIC LUMIX Professional 25mm Camera Lens G, F1.7 ASPH, Dual I.S. 2.0 with Power O.I.S., Mirrorless Micro Four Thirds, H-H025K (Black)
This just just an excellent lens. Something to keep in mind if youre shooting video with a Panasonic camera, however: Youll want to make liberal use of manual focus. Fast aperture settings will confuse the heck out of Panasonics contrast-based autofocus system when youre shooting video. Works great for photos, though!

Good fast, sharp, auto focus 50 mm lens. The auto focus can seem to hunt around a bit, depending, but it hasnt failed to lock in and take great photos, especially in low light. A good f1.7 lens for $150 is a bargain, considering, and you get dual auto focus with this lens and a Panasonic G85 or similar camera with in-body stabilization. Be warned, on a G85, anyway, I will get an error message "Lens not properly attached". The problem seems to be that all the electrical pins in the lens may not contact the body contacts unless you jiggle the lens ever so slightly after mounting it. It took me a little while to figure this out. Not sure if its a defect in the camera, lens, or design- but I can get this error putting the kit 12-60 mm zoom as well. I.e., the lens fits secure and tight, but apparently it needs this little jiggle once on to make sure all the contacts seat. Ive seen comparisons with the Leica 50 mm f1.4 lens, and frankly, the difference in quality is so minimal, plus the cheaper Lumix lens is quieter and will focus nearer and goes to f22. For me, its the better choice for these reasons.

Im no professional photographer but I just picked up a Panasonic G7 about a month ago. It came with the 14h42 kit lens. I picked up the 40 - 150 Olympus lens. And this was my third lens and I am extremely happy with the quality and the fast auto focus it has in 1080p. The auto focus in 4k is a little slow on the G7. but where this lens really shines is manual mode with the aperture down to F-1.7 you get that delicious Bokeh. Your subject just pops out everything else Fades out in back of it or in front of it. Im very happy with this lens. And I took some very nice portraits that were very sharp and crisp. I only tried it once at night and my inexperience with the camera showed and I was using way too high of ISO and all my pictures were really grainy. But thats not the lenses fault. I would highly recommend this to someone thats new or experienced that dont have the budget for a higher-end lens. You can take professional shots with this lens.

I bought this to go with my new Olympus OM-D E-M10. Its sharp and fast. I am really enjoying it. It is very light because of an almost completely plastic build. It does feel cheap because of this, however, it works well. I paid about $150, its sharp, fast, I can live w/ the plastic body.

This lens is outstanding. Do not let the low price fool you. It produces great depth of focus with my Panasonic GH4. I will be using it primarily for film production, but Im sure it is outstanding for photography as well. Check out video sample of Fender basses...

I gave this product 3 stars because the lense hood that comes with the lense was the wrong size and is completely unusable. This is a known problem and others have posted on this too. But as far as the lense quality itself, its changed the quality of my main videos B-roll in a very good way. When properly focused the image is Crystal clear with a very nice blur ( boka ) in the background. While being an affordable lense it does not suffer in quality and has very nice glass. It has a generous manual focus ring at the tip and also works with the auto focus (if the af switch is turned on). Its completely made me come to love my Panasonic Lumix G7 again and I can highly recommend it, but the company needs to fix the issue of sending the lense it with the wrong size lense hood.

Took this lens with me to the Pyeongchang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games. I was there to watch my brother Andy compete; the pictures are of him and his teammate Dan during and after the final of the 1.1km Cross Country Mens Sprint Classic (Sitting). Yes, thanks to this lens and the burst mode on my Panasonic G7, I have some (I would say) pretty spectacular pictures of my brother winning a gold medal in the paralympics. Technical stuff: The action shots were shot at 150mm and f5.6 (wide open), off hand from maybe 15-20 feet away in good light, with OIS fully on and a cheap CPL fitted to provide extra protection to the front element and help deal with glare off the snow. The images speak for themselves, but Id say the combination of fast shutter speed and OIS dealt with my so-so camera handling technique admirably. While it isnt weather sealed, I didnt have any problems with condensation or other water ingress during our entire trip, despite rain, snow, and temperatures below 20F. There are probably better lenses out there for this type of work, but this one was perfectly adequate for my needs, and at only $150, it was very budget friendly for an amateur.

Its an awesome lens. Im still new to the Micro 4/3 world, so when I originally bought my GH5 I noticed that the lenses dont see the same as a DSLR. I typically shoot video in gym settings, so Im in close quarters with people and equipment, which means I need a lens that is capable of shooting in that scenario. The 25mm is yet good in this situation. I still need a little more distance in some situations, but for a compact, prime lens, that different weigh too much, it works great with my camera and doesnt overweigh my gimbal. Zero Distortion! The glass looks higher quality than the VARIO lens I have. Great in low light situations. Autofocus is much quicker than the zoom lens varieties.

I recently used this to shoot a parade. The large aperture made focusing extremely fast and accurate. Out of 200+ photos I lost only 1 due to lack of good focus. The pictures were crisp, even out to the edge using about f/ 4 for my shots. The depth of field worked well with my subject in crisp focus with the background slightly blurred to isolate my subjects. The build quality feels a little cheap, but I think it will hold up to regular use. I would be careful using it where it might get bounced around or splashed.

Bottom line: if you own a LUMIX camera then youve already invested in a quality frame, dont think that this lens is cheap because of the low price. Every LUMIX owner needs this lens. Ive had it less than a week and for under $150 you cant go wrong. Its blistering fast, so you really dont need the stabilization that everyone is complaining about. Besides, its $150, those ISO lenses run about $1,000 . This lens is a workhorse and a lowlight beast. Plus you wont believe how light it is.
