Great range for the price, my only issue with it is the zoom ring is tough to rotate. It feels like theres a lot of friction which causes it to bite when youre zooming slowly. I dont know if its because I havent used it enough yet or what (have had it for a few weeks). I also have a canon 70D with the 18-135mm kit lens and honestly that lens has a zoom ring that feels much more light and smooth than the 14-140. This of course shouldnt be an issue if youre just taking pictures; its only a problem if youre shooting video and trying to get slow, steady zoom which we dont even need much anyway. So dont let this discourage you, Im absolutely sure with practice the zoom ring will be easy to deal with and most people would agree its one of the best run-n-gun lenses for the range and price!

It was okay but I was disappointed with the image quality from this lens and sold it after a short period of time.

If I can only take one lens with me, the 14-140mm is on my Panasonic GX85. (I also own four primes--12 mm Rokinon, 25mm Panasonic Leica, 42.5mm Panasonic and 60mm Olympus macro.) As long as there is decent light, this lens allows you to capture wonderful photographs. I use it for everything from really far away (lunar eclipse) to close-up semi-macro (flowers), from still (landscape, architecture) to action (events, street photography, even sports). I love it for being active (mountain biking, hiking)--because its right there, on my Peak Design Capture clip, ready to shoot whenever a great moment presents itself. With the dual image stabilization of the GX85 and the lens, its possible to hand-hold zoom shots, as well as close-ups at the full 140mm range. I do carry my Leica 25mm with me for night-time and indoor shots, as low-light performance is not this lens strong suit. If you are new to M4/3 photography, and want to invest in just one lens, if youre an outdoors person who needs to travel light, or a traveller interested in the smallest possible kit, buy this lens.

Purchased the international version directly from Japan, and wanted to include how particularly sharp this lens is in the sample pic, unedited and ungraded. Settings were: 46mm, iso 400, 6 second f5.6.

Great lens for general purpose shooting! Here are a few outdoor shots using the lens.
