I bought this lens a few months ago. I use it on an EM-5. It is a very fast lens. I use it primarily for landscape and photographing my dog at the dog park. The wide range it offers is pretty incredible. An excellent all purpose lens. I have yet to require a faster aperture with my em-5 than this lens offers. I was surprised how small it was. Very light. It is about the size and weight of the camera body. It is very durable, well constructed. This is essentially my go to, every day day and lens combo. Id highly recommend it. Any downfalls you experience in image quality will not be from this lens but rather the camera sensor itself.

just okay lens with very wide range. would use as my primary lens if it didnt have two problems: 1. not a very sharp lens 2. auto focus not accurate - and keeps searching unable to lock on in medium light or medium contrast. I have missed a number of once in a lifetime shots because of these problems.

Had the original model and sold it due to poor image quality. So tried the II, no visible improvement. One might say that Im expecting too much from an 11:1 ratio zoom but the full four-thirds Pan-Leica 14-150 was almost pro quality. Fuji builds no junk lenses, Olympus (and Panasonic) needs to do the same. Replaced with the 12-100 f/4 which is excellent.

I picked one of these up to have a weather sealed long telephoto lens (with the added bonus of the wide range as well) last year when I was going to be travelling around Rwanda during the rainy season, and it didnt let me down. I never had any issues with it on safari trips, and it was also pretty good during a cloudy, pounding rainstorm in the mountains. Its nice to have a lens that you feel like you can rely on 100% all day, no matter the situation, shot, or weather. No, its not going to be as good as one of the Olympus PRO lenses in the same range (12-40 f2.8. 40-150 f2.8, or 12-100 f4), but its a great all arounder and a hell of a value.

Love this lens! I moved from a Nikon DX sensor to this and this lens is the equivalent of the 18-200mm F 3.5-5.6 Nikkor Lens. This lens is about half the weight and does pretty much the same job. This lens is a little bit softer than the Nikon I find but it still does a great job as an all around lens. if your looking to carry less gear around and still have a wide range of available short and longer range lenses all in one then this should do the job very well!

I purchased this lens as a gift to my wife for her Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II camera. The versatility of shooting with a 28-300mm (35mm equivalent range) lens is thoroughly enjoyed by my wife. She replaced two lenses with this lens and it never comes off her camera. I myself shoot with Olympus Pro lenses, but am very impressed with the quality of the photos she takes with this lens. It is a terrific walk about lens and we highly recommend it to others.

I was doubious about this lens. After all it is an x10 and I like to see clean, sharp photos. Not to worry. Dont throw away your primes and narrower zoom lenses. They still beat out this lens, but not by much! This is the best walk around lens, by far, that I have used. It is light, practical and does a wonderful job, particularly on outings with kids. You wont regret buying it.

I bought the new 14-150mm for the dust rain proof . I have the old lens and it is a great lens. I always go back to it and I use prime or the 12-40mm f2.8 only on special occasion. It is not as sharp as the prime but a little bit of editing in Lightroom fix the problem. I will keep the old version on my EM-10 and use the new version on my old EM-5. I did not do the jump in going to the new EM-5 or a EM-1. I will probably wait until I see a newer EM-1 coming. Meanwhile the three lenses to have for an olympus micro four third are: the new 14-150mm II, the 75-300 II and the 12-40mm f2.8.

Great lens for travel. I purchased this lens for when Im traveling, I dont have to keep changing lens and missing some good photos. I found the focus fast on my Olympus EM-10. The photos are very sharp, is lightweight and very well made. For the price not a bad deal.

Thought this would be a good travel lens. Mistake. Its F stop range is quite limited at different mms. Really no addition to my travel lenses. Dont think you are getting a 150 mm lens. Functionality really does not happen after 120mm. Forget the 9mm. Regret buying this one!
