I love this lens so much!!! The only drawback I felt was the focus and zoom rings are inversed! It was very taxing on my hands and made the camera feel extra heavy!! I missed some shots due to the confusion from my old lens!! The autofocus and bokeh are unmatched!! I’m so glad The lens went down in price!!! I shoot for a D1 Basketball team and my pictures are now extremely sharp and very detailed!! In the photo I uploaded the left side is the new lens and the right picture is the 80-200mm Nikon Ed D lens!!

Was not an FL lens the seller sent the first generation lens to me and was trying to sell it like it was the latest lens. HOWEVER the latest FL lens from Nikon is THE BEST LENS ON THE MARKET! If your a photographer and shoot fast moving or runway or anything you need to capture from a distance. THIS IS A MUAT BUY!

Amazing lens. I’ve wanted it for years. Extremely quick focusing and razor sharp images. Shooting hockey with available light and high ISO. Replaced a very old 80-200f2.8 zoom, and the speed, quality, and focus performance is a huge improvement. I wasn’t sure how I would like the rotary zoom vs the push pull, having used that for so many years, but I find it offers so much more control. A major investment, but don’t regret it at all. The ability to break payments up over 5 with Amazon was the clincher.

Popped it out of the box and directly to my D850 and D5 for AFMA tuning with FoCAL software.....the lens was perfect. Registered a 0 AFMA at 200mm and 70mm. No fine tuning needed!

Simply stunning. Never have I shot such crystal clear, tack sharp photos. Worth every penny (and it was *a lot* of them). Im currently using it on an older crop sensor (D5200) and its like I just got a new camera. The auto focus is extremely fast -- great for sports.

This lens is the bomb! I love it. I have the older version (70-200 f2.8 VR II), as well have worked the old one to no end. If I had none the beauty of this lens earlier, I would have purchased it the day it came out. The sharpness, and clarity and amazing. The shooting distance between the subject and the lens is much better as well. It reacts fast and is just plain amazing! If your a pro, dont even think twice, put it in your shopping cart!
