This lens is on my camera body 90% of the times. I do weddings with this, fashion shoots, portraits, video everything. Its sharp, sturdy and reliable. Yes a bit pricey but you pay for what you get. And that is Quality.

So I tried the Tamron and it was found lacking. This lens showed me its worth in under ten minutes of shooting. Low light, fast focusing? Yup. Sharpness at varying f stops? Yup. Im a working photographer with over 20 years in the business and I cant say enough about this great lens.

Great lens. A bit large and definitely has some weight to it, but that is just the quality of the item. Feels good in the hand, looks good on the camera, and takes amazing photos with great detail.

I never write reviews but felt the need for this lens...after deciding whether to get the VR version or not from alot of other reviews I read about the sharpness not as good on the VR version, im glad I did..now remind you I cant compare it to the lens without VR because Ive never owned it but I have no complaints over the sharpness of this lens on my Nikon D850..very high quality..even on my Nikon d5300 I get excellent quality results..worth the $ if your serious

Best lens Ive ever owned. Sharpest images youll ever see. Had some high contrast issues when I first got it but Im assuming thats me, not the lens. Wish it could be all metal and rubber but then that would probably add another grand. Get it if youre serious, dont if youre not.

This is an amazing lens that helped bridge the gap between my 12-24mm and 70-200mm. Now I’m set! Tack sharp w perfect clarity and ninja quick autofocus. Pricy, but you definitely get what you pay for with this lens! Very happy owner here.

This was an excellent decision. I shoot 80+% of all my work with this bad boy.

My son saved up for this lens and finally took the plunge. After getting back from Yosemite, he saw the difference and realized how worth it it was

A great, sharp lens at all the covered focal lengths. Nice to have an aperture of f 2.8. Only knock, maybe, is that it is heavy and large, but I knew that before I bought it.

big and heavy but does what it needs to. Image quality is good, but if i had to do it all over again, id go with a third party brand like tamron the difference in image quality isnt that great ( if any ), but the price difference is astronomical.
