I’ve now tried 2 different lenses that said they’d fit my camera. They don’t. I returned them.... and two weeks later- no refund. I’ve tried contacting them twice by email, they do not respond! Proceed with caution. I’m a very unhappy buyer!!! Money lost!

Came 100% spotless, looking and functioning as new but at half the price! These little lenses are the latest in a long series of great 18-55 dx lenses and the new pulse motor focuses very fast (something the AF-S lenses sometimes struggled with)! These lenses are super sharp and great for portrait work!

Camera body: Nikon D750 My dad has this exact same lens (which he brought brand new) and his lens works completely fine on my camera. I wanted to test it out before I purchased the same one and so I thought I’d have nothing to worry about. The certified refurbished lens I received does not have the same quality or compatibility. See photos 1 and 2. When the lens is zoomed out all way (18mm) the view finder and photos have an extreme vignette problem, like a fisheye lense would have, or like a person with tunnel vision. The fisheye circle disappears at 24mm. The overall vignette is pretty dark even when you zoom in all the way. The lens does not allow much light in. I’m going to be returning as defective and shop around for a better wide angle lens.

I bought this lens for one of my classroom cameras with a damaged lens. When I received this lens it seemed to attach and fit the Nikon D3400 well, but when I attempted to take a photo I could not focus the lens properly and the shutter would not release. I returned the lens to the company and still have not received a refund, now I am out 100.00 for a lens for one of the classroom cameras that I dont even own, and on top of that, the students are not able to use the camera and I dont have another 100.00 to buy another one.

Edit after extended use: I took off another star as I certainly cant recommend this lens for video use, unless used with a tripod, because of the terrible, shaky footage because it has no VR. And photos can also not be taken with slower speeds. I also find the continuous AF junpy and would rather focus with the touchscreen once (on the d500) and not have the lens focus all the time. Id totally pass on this lens. This lens is excellent. It is affordable, lightweight and sharp. Im surprised Nikon doesnt make a big deal about the AF-P lenses because they are really fantastic for video. The f5.6 aperture makes it useless for me though. Lenses for crop sensor cameras should not have a smaller maximum aperture than f4 maximum but even if such lenses are produced, Nikon users should have options of buying fast AF lenses for video use that do have wider apertures. The fact that they make only one lens for video that has such a narrow maximum aperture makes me take off two stars for this product. For me the lens is worth less than one star because of the narrow aperture. I usually shoot video indoors or in low lighting scenerios and the 5.6 aperture makes the ISO shoot upwards so that even shootinv with a d500 the video quality is not good. The lens itself, because of the low price and quick autofocus and sharpness does deserve 3 stars so thats what I gave it. The AF is fantastic, silent and quick focusing including when shooting video with it. The problem with focusing during video is the Nikon cameras. With this lens, the d500 always focuses at the nearest object when shooting with continuous AF (AF-F) even when I manually set the AF point with the touchscreen. Ironically, the d3400 focused faster during video than the d500, but I sent back the d3400 because there were other things I didnt like about the camera.

Didnt work at all. Also, see photo - no where in the listing does it indicate there will be missing caps. Junk. Dont even bother. My first and last time trying to order a lens through Amazon. Disappointing.

I have several DSLRs and just purchased the body on my last one. This kit lens is the same one I had on my first camera and I needed a second one. Everything worked just fine on this refurbished lens. It was like new and responsive for auto focus as well as a lot of the manual shots I like to take.

CHEAT! The VR feature helps me get sharp shots over a greater light range than expected. Id never had a VR lens so did not know what to expect. I recently purchased a used D3300 body so I could shoot video and use my D700 lenses. Well, Id seen how economical these "kit" lenses are, so thought Id try one. It helps so much Im rethinking my D700 lenses and upgrading some to VR! Really, this lens is so sharp its price makes me think Nikons other lenses are overpriced. For quick grab shooting, the combo of D3300 and this lens will very likely keep the D700 in the bag much of the time! I really appreciate the smaller size and way lower weight for hiking.

I cant ecall if your as on Amazon had the designation AF-P DX or just DX. But My D-3200 requires AF-S DX. What I received was AF-P DX - it wont work in a D-3200. Arranging the return was easy - the Beach Camera guy was very helpful.. I called bac to chat with sales. The sales rep insisted that if the lens was a DX it shold work - the discussion was going nowhere and I was not going to get the correct lens from this guy. I found a new replacement for about tem bucks more than the refurbished one From Beach.
