This lens is so far from clear that it makes it unusable. Using on a D800 with full manual settings. Exposure: Fine, Color: Fine, Focus: Imposible to get focused. Tripod mounted in bright daylight and the resolution of the lens just doesnt cut it. Returned and dropped the money on a Sigma.

This is a manual lens so you have to make sure you select the manual setting on the camera. It will also take some practice to be able to use the lens but once you do you can get some really great long-distance shots. this lens it would be especially good for taking pictures of wildlife in particular bears!

Added picture to my review. This is the first Picture I took with the camera resting on my Gas Grill. The Squirrel is in my nieghbors back yard. This is with the lens at full zoom. Only issue I had was the first couple attempts were black, I adjusted the f stop lower until I found one with good results. The blades of grass came out pretty clear I thought.

I have taken several images with this lens now, and I will say that, for the price, it is a pretty good lens. Dont buy this if you are expecting perfectly sharp images, but the images are good and you can usually edit the flaws out.

I bought ut for the August 2017 eclipse. It dud exactly what I wanted. Not a super sharp lens, but for the price, its a bargain. Full manual mode, so I bracketed and got some decent shots.

Awesome lens for the price! And thats what has to be kept in mind when buying this lens. Its a full manual lens with a 800mm focal distance for around $100. Its not going to be excellent in low light, nor will it be great for moving objects. However I was very happy with the product for taking a picture of the moon. My only complaint was the canon adapter was missing a set screw that caused this to keep getting loose on me. Other than that its a great cheap telephoto lens!

I suppose if you only mounted it to a tripod with the lens tripod mount it would be ok but if hand held, merely focusing will detach it from the camera (Canon 800d) since its Canon adapter ring will not lock in place. You are also required to fasten the adapter ring to the lens with 3 set screws and an allen wrench. Lot of focal length for the money (plus I had a $20 coupon code) but I sent it back anyway. I would have never felt comfortable using a lens that would detach so easily.

This lens was advertised as compatible with the Nikon D3500 camera. It is not. There is no way to use this lens with this camera.

Fantastic build quality focus ring turns smooth zoom slides easily. Image quality pretty decent. Complaints would be the lock/unlock ring to adjust zoom instead of a zoom ring and fge fixed aperture for different zoom lengths. All in all this is a quality product for the price best ive found on market at this price point.
