Outstanding Lens from Fujifilm. I am a longtime user of the Fujifilm X-Pro1 and now the X-Pro2. This lens renders incredible images. I have years of experience with Fujifilm lenses and cameras. I have owned quite a few of the Fujifilm lenses with the exception long telephoto.I love my fuji 35mm f2 but Im in love with this 50mm f2 lens and the images it captures. It is lighting fast to focus on my Fuji X-Pro2 and weather sealed for rainy weather my favorite time to photograph. I waited a long time to get this lens and I am sorry I did. it is an absolute gem!

Just received my 50mm f2 lense tonight and could not wait to put it on my Fujifilm xt 20! Ive had a 23mm f2 on my camera since i got it last christmas and i loved that lense. My only issue was when I did headshots or portraits for clients or friends, I had to get all up in their personal space. I wanted a lense that zoomed in more but still with a F2 or lower, so i decided on the 50mm. the 56mm was double the price, so thats why i settled on the 50mm. So far Im enjoying it. I have to get a little bit more of a distance between me and my subject than I normally would with a 23mm but im okay with that. So far im happy with my lense! I cant wait to take this with me on my next trip.

Super sharp, reasonably fast auto focus and small size. Great combo on the XPro-2, really nice for portraits and such.

This lens is a tactile gem. It almost doesnt matter what the picture quality is like because the lens is simply so beautifully constructed. Fortunately the picture quality is equally superb; stands up well to the already legendary 35 f2.0. Shoot it wide open most of the time and have been extremely satisfied with the drawing of this lens.

Ive not used a prime lense in decades. This one is teaching me to compose and seek subjects in a wholly new manner. The glass is excellent, focusing superb. I am so glad that I bought it. Did I mention the water resistance? Awesome!

Super fast and silent auto-focus. I really only shoot in Prime and am very happy with the build and operational quality of this lens. Havent really tested the WR factor other than a few drizzles but did help the confidence that I dont need to baby it near a little rain.

Beautiful rendition, color, clarity, contrast etc... Fuji outdoes themselves at every turn with their glass. Thank you Fuji for giving us a real alternative to the big “L.” You know who I mean.
