.... in the only Fujifilm equivalent to 70-200mm (75 to 210mm, really) a wedding photog could want. The constant f/2.8 and optical stabilization get the job done. Not thrilled the element cluster clunks around in the housing when the lens isnt powered by the camera, but thats just how it is put together. Knowing Fuji, there shouldnt be any longterm problems; just a design choice. Built like a blunt instrument and likely to standup to the rigors of shooting photos at events and in studio. The plastic hood on my copy of the lens doesnt twist on buttery smooth, but not worth asking for a replacement. Glad I made this purchase.

This lens is really amazing. I have primarily been a Canon shooter and this performs just as well as the Canon 70-200 f2.8 II IS lens. It is also smaller, lighter and less expensive than the Canon. If you have been on the fence about this lens, it is well worth the investment.

Yes Fuji hits another home run with an incredible lens. Clear, sharp at any f-stops and for me thats paramount. Couple this with Fujis 1.4 tel-converter and what a combo.

This is a really fine lens. Its sharper than the Canon and Nikon equivalents (yes, I have owned both). The lens hood is slightly annoying and the monopod mount seem superfluous - I removed it and find the lens very easy to shoot hand held. I make my living as a photographer and I have to say I am really impressed by this lens.

In a review of the Fuji 10-24 f4 I wrote that I had gone all zoom all the time with the Fuji X system. I still have the 10-24, and have now upgraded to the 16-55 f2.8 from the 18-55, and to this lens from the 55-200. I may be an overly enthusiastic amateur, but I am trying to get the best gear I can for when I retire and have less disposable income. At least thats my rationalization for spending what I did for this lens and, as Jeff Goldblums character in "The Big Chill" said, "Dont knock rationalization. Where would any of us be without it?" The three Fuji zooms I have are all spectacular in terms of image quality -- sharpness and color are astounding. But this one is the pinnacle so far. This lens is at least on a par with the Canon 70-200 f2.8 is II, and may even surpass it in terms of clarity, resolution and detail. Fuji and Canon, at least in my opinion, render color slightly differently, but both render it beautifully and I wouldnt rate one over the other in this category. Suffice it to say that that this lens produces images that will make your eyes pop. One word of caution. I rented one of these lenses before I bought one and noticed a clunking sound from within the lens barrel. This concerned me. Did some research. Turns out, if the lens is not connected to the body or if it is connected but the body is not turned on, the lens will make the clunking sound if you tip it back and forth. It is disconcerting, but it apparently has to do with the OIS system. The clunking disappears when the camera is turned on. In short, this lens, the 10-24 and the 16-55 will produce spectacular image quality across a wide range of focal lengths, and this lens is, in my estimation, the best of them all.

Crisp contrasty fantastic images at all focal lengths and apertures that Ive tested (I havent gone above f/11 yet) I also have the Fuji 23, 35, and 18-55, and this is the fastest and most accurate AF of any of them. The rings are a bit stiff, but they seem to be loosening up with use. The manual focus ring is almost un-usably firm. The zoom ring also has a bit more travel than I would like. I cant go from 50mm to 140mm comfortably without re-placing my hand on the ring. The IS element is engaged whenever the camera is on, whether the IS system is turned on or not, which uses some battery, and makes a strange whirring noise constantly, but its not disruptive or detrimental. The battery life thing especially doesnt matter to me, because with the size of the lens, I would have a hard time wanting to shoot it without the battery grip on my X-T1. The lens hood feels very premium, and the lens itself feels very reassuringly solid. I dont regret the purchase at all.

Gives me the reach I’ll need during weddIng ceremonies and wide enough to do portraits. Will be a great addition to my 35mm

Another quality Fuji lens. 70-200 equivalent with OIS that really helps when shooting in low light and low shutter speeds.

Brilliant lens. Fast, sharp, contrasty....heavy (see 9yo holding it), but worth it....
