This is a great walk-around all purpose lens that gives you a superb image quality at all focal lengths. I have a Canon 77d and a Canon Rebel T6 plus a couple of prime lenses. Ill now keep the older 18-55mm on the T6 as my backup and use this 18-135mm as a main lens on my 77d. If needed for lower apertures I can always use my 35 or 50mms. The first thing I noticed about this lens is the obvious heavier weight. I knew it would be a bit heavier, but I was surprised at just how much heavier it was than the 18-55mm lens. The auto focus is fast and since I dont use my camera for videos I cant comment on the lens for that. At the same time I ordered the lens I also ordered a 67mm UV filter and lens hood and they both arrived a day before the lens did which worked out perfectly. The lens locking mechanism only works when the lens is at the 18mm position although I wish it also worked at other positions like 35 or 50mm but it is what it is and Im not complaining. The image stabilization is excellent and works like it should and at 135mm where lens and camera shake is normally noticeable It worked perfectly. For the price this is an excellent investment!

There are so many options for lenses, but I dont regret getting this one. My wife uses this lens and her T7i for work of mostly taking pictures close-up of peoples eyes. It focused great! It needs a lot of distance for it to focus, so its definitely not a macro lens, but the ability to zoom in makes up for it! Its a great all-around lens, especially for a starter.

So disappointed! This was advertised as an STM lens and I received a USM lens. Huge difference. Not even sure if I received a new product as advertised. What a drag especially since I was hoping to use it for my daughters soccer game this weekend. Fix your product description and or send the right product.

I have used my new lens several times and its performance has been excellent. The auto focus and image stabilization work well and the picture quality is excellent as well. It gives me the telephoto range that I need. I will use it for my everyday lens in lieu of the 18-55 mm kit lens that came with my Canon T6 camera. I highly recommend this product. The vendor shipped the lens promptly and it was packaged very well.

I love this lens because it is flexible, has a wide range of focal length and adapts well. I purchased mine prior to a trip to Israel in which I shot more than 1200 pics all with this one lens. I did it with the Auto Setting / No Flash in 98 percent of the cases and they came out perfect with few exceptions - none of them due to the lens. This is probably the highest priority lens to buy for an EOS series camera.

Good lens though I bought it refurbished and have to return it as I had lens creep. I do not know if this is normal for a lens like this or a product of the refurbishment, my Canon 55-250 lens does not do this. The lens is also heavy, easily the heaviest lens I own, which probably helps exacerbate the lens creep. Still it is a good walking around lens.

This lens is great. I bought it because it allows me to not have to keep switching between my regular and telephoto lens. The only thing about it, which is not the fault of the lens but my own, is the STM I believe doesn’t work with my camera body (T3) so it doesn’t help much with the autofocus when recording video, but I bought it knowing this added feature may not be available to me due to having an older camera body.

This is the kit lens that shouldve be packaged with my T2i when I purchased it! I really like this lens! It has more reach than the kit EFS 18-55 (which hasnt even been on my camera in several years). Its lightweight and the STM focuses really fast...and quietly too.

Using with Canon rebel t6i, no problems per se with lens, too many adjustments manually for zooming in and out during video results in a blur for about 45 seconds, needs time to recover, its a pain, but its adequate if you have no time for lens changes, distance is good. Recommended.

This single lens stays on my camera and only comes off when I need a 400+mm shot. Great quality pictures with little distortion with abundant range for framing exactly the shot you need.
