I trashed my old one and bought another lens (non-Canon) at the recommendation of the local camera store. Suffice to say I reconsidered after using the bigger lens and repurchased this workhorse. Highly recommended.

This is a great walk around lens for the Canon crop sensor cameras. It has worked perfectly with my 7D and I get wonderful sharp images from it. I would suggest this lens to anyone owning a crop sensor camera.

way better than the other canon 18-135, smoother, quieter and faster zoom. if you can pay the extra money its worth it.

Really enjoying this as my walk-around lens, offering ease of going from moderate wide angle to moderate telephoto. The feature that would make this perfect would be a macro function. So I just have to change to my 18-55 mm that came with the camera when I want to do macro shots. Otherwise this is a great lens.
