Very good lens, with the caveat that it is not an L lens. Still its light weight and produces fairly crisp images. It, and the 22mm are now my go-to travel lenses

The lens seems built well and it certainly is small and light for the range it covers but Im not happy with the sharpenss away from the center. The center is tack sharp but by the time you get to the sides it loses sharpness and becomes blurry. Maybe I got a bad copy, I dont know but I am not happy.

I took this lens only on a 2 week Italy/Greece trip. It took care of everything in terms of zoom. Focuses quickly and the image stabilizer is the best I’ve seen on a Canon lens. I did not miss my other lenses on the trip. Magnificent!!!!! I couldn’t wait to get back home to praise this lenses I waitin Dublin for a connecting flight.

Amazing! We’re very happy with Canon and with this lense. We considered other brands but, after talking to other photographers and doing research, we selected Canon. We’re so glad we did. Our photos are turning out better than we had hoped for.

My favorite lens to keep on my M-50. No the sharpest or the fastest aperture but for just picking it up and snapping quick ones its perfect. I also own the efm 22 kit lens adapter and ef 10-18 50mm 50-250 & 75-300. I keep this one mounted
