OMG! I bought this for the fish eye attachment just so I can see what it does (Im new to this photography stuff) and thought I should get something less expensive than an actual Nokia "fish eye" lens. First off, the super wide-angle fish eye attachment is awesome! Found out it is great for landscape but found some interesting ways to use as well. It wasnt until a couple of days later when I was really messing with my gear that I realize this thing came with a "super" Macro attachment. I havent gotten a chance to try it out yet but will soon. Havent been this excited about anything in a long time. Will update on build and quality later but so far everything feels great!

When dealing in the field of photography, there are so many variables for the ametuer....and we all started out that way:-) I gave a 5-star rating to this product, not only because it is a great product for the money, but also because of the detailed information it gave concerning the compatability to various cameras on the market. Many other companies require followup questions between the prospective customer and the company, this one detailed everything in advance, to my satisfaction. I was also impressed with the fast shipping, as it saved me additional time with my intended project. Yes, I would certainly recommend this product to my friends, or anyone for that matter, who seeks a good wide angle / Macro lens.

This was such a great buy!! I was looking to add to my lens collection and found that I was missing micro and fisheye lenses for a project I am working on. I first decided to go to some major retail stores and look but the prices were too high and they did not have it in stock. I went on Amazon and found exactly what I needed at about 1/3 of the price!! I was so happy that I found this product due to the fact that I had priced other lenses and were about 3 times more than what I was willing to spend. I loved this product so much and I will for sure be purchasing more from this vendor. Thanks Again Digital Goga/Altura Photo!!!

This is a great little add-on to your gear bag. The fisheye attachment is inexpensive, but its well made and very sturdy. Ive attached some snapshots taken with my Nikon D3300 and the stock 18-55 lens. It does an excellent good job for the money. Even though the product description states otherwise, in my opinion, youll need to set your camera to manual focus and manual mode to use this lens properly. Be willing to learn how to use this attachment. When using the fisheye, youll have to make adjustments when composing your shots. The fisheye effect is nice and its clearly visible when used properly, but it can vignette badly. As a side note, you can use the macro and the fisheye together (as I did in the coin and billiards photos), or the macro alone (as I did in the housefly photo), but you CAN NOT use the fisheye without the macro. You will experience some focus drop off and vignetting around the edges as illustrated in my snapshots, but youll get that to some degree with any fisheye or macro lens. Remember, youre paying 20-30 bucks for this lens as opposed to hundreds or even thousands. In my opinion, you get much more than you pay for. All in all, this is a great attachment and it works as it should. Its affordable, useful, its worth having around when you need it and it doesnt take up too much space. Mine came with a cap for both ends and a "leatherish" carrying bag. Id recommend this product and Id buy it again. PROS: -sturdy and well made -works well (with a little practice) -easily attaches to lens -adds a nice effect to your photos -macro lens can be used without the fisheye -comes with caps and a case CONS: -significant focus drop off at edges OVERALL: Great buy Great quality for the price Great choice for beginner/intermediate level

So far so good. The threading isnt awesome (the macro portion actually fell off at one point while I was shooting) but overall I think its good for the price. Its made of metal so it definitely has a good weight and feels decent. Some things Ive learned so far that may be helpful for beginners like me: dont put this on a 50mm 1.8 lens, youll get a ridiculous blur. I put it on my stock 18-55mm for my canon rebel xti (in the 58mm version) and had way more success. Also, after using a 50mm for so long it took a lot of getting used to before I realized it was okay to get insanely close to an object to shoot it with the macro. I almost returned it thinking it just wouldnt focus, you almost have to be touching what youre shooting. Attaching a photo of my first attempt shooting jewelry with it.

This a pretty good fish eye lens. It does exactly what it is supposed to do. Whats interesting, though, is that on my 50mm lens, at 1.8 (widest aperture), it has a certain "glow" to it. A sort of out of focus shine to it. At first I thought it was just out of focus, but then, I realized how cool it looks. Very dreamy. An unexpected surprise that I am flowing with and using to my advantage. Same issue with seeing the outer ring when using at wide angle settings - 18mm - 24mm - as with the .43 wide angle lens adapter (which is actually .63, which is better because it cancels out the crop factor on my T3i) but if I use it on my 18 - 55 kit lens and just bring it a little closer to around 28mm, the ring goes away. That said, when I want the actual fish-eye effect, like looking through a peep hole, it works great.

Its not a bad lens for the price, I suppose. It produces the desired wide angle "fish-eye" effect I was looking for. The only problem Ive seemed to come across is that, when connected to my current (regular) lens, it seems to push the focusing ability for distant objects beyond the focal length of the lens making it impossible to get clear imaging on very distant objects. It could just be the lens that I am mating it to as well, Im not sure. For close up stuff , it seems to work great. The macro lens seems to work quite nicely as well. For 26 dollars and some change, Im not going to complain too much.

This lens is really really heavy because it’s made of metal. I don’t like that it screws on the end. It’s really hard to line it up. Not easy to take on and off quickly. I don’t like how the built on lens hood or whatever it is doesn’t seem to come off. It just spins and is in the way. In my pictures you can see there is a black circle around the outside. Which I don’t like. I’m not sure if I just bought the wrong kind for my camera or what happened. I had super bad luck with this lens. I couldn’t get the macro lens to work without the fisheye lens. In terms of lighting and image quality, I’m still a beginner. So I don’t have anything to really compare to yet. I just know that I was not impressed with how it took photos in low lighting.

I have the 0.43 and have been enjoying it so I figured I would get a little fisheye fun with this... not so. The only part of the image that even approaches acceptable is the very center, even then its pretty hideous, and outside of that forget it. Everything looks atrocious, like there was jelly smeared across your lens. The only thing this is good for is practicing your free throw into the trash bin.

I ordered this for the fisheye lens and figured the macro was a throw-in that I might use every once in a while, just for fun. Nope. They use a 52mm x 58mm ring adapter on the back of the FE lens to adapt it to the front of the macro lens, but the thing is screwed on so tight to the back of the FE lense that I dont think I could separate them without damaging the adapter or the lens. Took a couple of shots with the macro and the glass is hazy. Not worth the money, and it was dirt cheap, so that should tell you something.
