This flash has been very helpful when shooting fast paced events like graduations, weddings, or when Im taking photos of children. Creates a beaming flash of light that makes my shots much more vibrant, supports multi mode so I can shot multiple shots with continuous bursts. The remote trigger and receiver allows me to use the flash off camera and gives me more range to work with it and has multiple channel selection for syncing more flashes. Responds within a fraction of a second for instantaneous timing. Convenient to use since its straightforward. Controllable brightness with adjustable output levels and diffusor covers. The hard cap and soft cover reduce shadowing and make the brightness less harsh in some conditions and gives the lighting a more appealing, softer glow. Add on bonus with the lens cap holder. Has a small button that sticks to the front of my lenses cap and the strap wraps around the circumference of the lens for a secure cabling.

I just got it. I am new to photography and have not used a speedlight or really any flash before. But I am in love. When you add the neewer 6x8 soft box, its a great pairing. I was able to take lots of photos of friends and family at a recent party and between this light and the extra soft box, I was able to get well lit photos that werent harsh. The added goodies including remote/triggers only sweetens the deal. I havent used a canon speed light before, but for 1/6th the price, I cant imagine the Canon being THAT much better. I cant speak to durability but so far so good. *A year later, I still have this flash. I was using it to take pictures last Thanksgiving and noticed a weird electrical burning smell. There was a dark spot on the front glass/plastic. I had been taking back to back high flash shots. So I would be careful firing off a ton of shots in quick succession. I had the built in diffuser down and the pop on one as well, so that might have added to the heat build up. The flash still works and I havent had an issue since. I dont use this a lot, but when I do, I am glad I have it. Even outdoor shots really benefit from a nice flash. As the holidays approach itll be time to take plenty of family portraits between my side and my in-laws, I plan on buying a 2nd, and maybe 3rd flash w/ receivers to supplement my one flash. I might upgrade to a faster Neewer "speedlight." Id still highly recommend this flash for any DSLR owner who doesnt want to spend a fortan on a flash.

My initial thought was this is a very nice flash and the impression has been lasting through its use. The plastic hot shoe plate on my other flash broke so I was happy when I saw this one was metal. Everything feels right about this flash and it works great when I put it on my camera and sync it up with the remote triggers. It comes with two covers, one for straight up dilution and one that acts as a miniature soft box, both work great for diluting the brightness when I want it to but I really enjoy the brightness of it. The flash performs really well and accommodates all my lighting needs.

Ive purchased a number of items over the past few years from this shop I must say that their customer service is the best! Have never had any issues, the seller takes really great care of their customers. I give the flash units themselves 5 stars. Hard to burn out these, they last long and they all use AAs which comes in handy by just needing one kind stocked up. Takes spilt seconds to fully recharge and works fast and precisely with the remote trigger for the flash to sync to my camera for full lighting shots at the click of a button. The automatic temperature detection makes for accurate surveillance of my surroundings and lighting situation and does a good job of knowing whats best, but I can dim it for when I need a few more degrees. The cap and soft screen cover are nice diffusers and work well to cut back the intensity. Cool cord cable as well, cause Im always misplacing my lens cover but now I cant. Awesome wireless flash set!

Dual lighting capability with working wireless triggering, this flash and accessory set is an amazing bundle deal. The flash achieves bright and syncronized lighting that times and ties the flash burst with my shutter speed and triggers wirelessly with the receiver and remote and sync cables. TTL and automatic detection with rotatable adjustments. Quick to take and works fast with my camera. The lens cable is super helpful so that I never lose track of my lens cap again and sticks really well on there. The hard and soft light covers are fairly simple solutions for diffusing the brightness and make up no space at all, on or off. Im really pleased with the results Ive gotten and Im sure you will be too.

My first impressions? This flash is really solidly built and has tight tolerances. The flash feels good to the hand in that it has about the right amount of weight too. Am I a professional photographer? No.. So I will not go into great details about TTL and such.. I will tell you my view from a hobby photographer.. I bought this because I needed another flash instead of my pop up.. I have a Canon T5i and I had no issues syncing it. I was able to place it on the hot shoe on my first attempt. The reason I bought this one was because of the bundle that included the remote and the slave. I was interested in that since I take picture for ebay, etsy, and social media.. I have had it for several months now and I am getting used to it.. Or shall I say I am getting used to taking great pictures! I taught myself how to bounce the flash and how to use the diffusers that came with it. Conclusion: This item is very reasonably priced, versatile, performs well, and I highly recommend this product to any amateur camera-users or budget camera-users!

Great flash kit fixed with all the essentials. The flash works so well with my Canon Rebel T3. Its a very powerful flash and doesnt take long to fully get the hang of it and all its functions. The kit came with a wireless remote and receiver set was an extra plus. Wirelessly syncs with my camera and my shutter activates with the flash and times together like magic and still signals from a great distance away. I have a friend who is a professional photographer and had him look at it for an expert opinion and he seemed quite impressed and said I did good by picking this one! This kit gives me whole new level of photography appreciation with all the diffuser options, the soft cover is my favorite and transforms my bright flash into a soft box. Like I said earlier, this is a great set and I am very happy with the purchase.

I love the Neewer flash. I actually have two of them. This is the second one I purchased because I liked the first one so much. With the great affordable price I am able to own one for each camera so I dont have to remember to pack my flash. No matter which camera bag I grab I have this great Neewer flash in both. It is perfect for me. It does run through batteries pretty quickly if used a lot but since it takes AA I always have spare batteries that I carry with me. I use the TTL function and Manual both options work fantastic. I could not ask for a better flash and the great price is a bonus.

Great little off camera flash and the cost is 25% of Canon version so you save enough to have a four flash curtain. The best way to use a flash is to have it off to the site so you dont flatten your image and it does just that. I dont know if it has the power of the Canon one but I am happy with the result. I only gave it four stars because the documentation is lacking and it made setting up the remote trigger a bit hard and it took a little trial and error.
