I bought this to use on a couple of Olympus bodies, an E-M5 and E-M1ii. I do not have any experience using first party flashes with either body but I have used the Canon flash system for several years. I have used this flash for indoor product photography and some limited portrait work for a little more than two months. In general this works very well but not everything is rainbows and lollipops, here are my thoughts on the flash. The Good - The price! - The white balance seems to be consistent across the power range. - Can be used as a master or slave in an extensive flash system that includes speedlights and studio lighting. - Using two AA batteries keeps the size down. - The build quality is better than I expected, nothing is loose or wobbly. The Bad - Everytime the flash is attached to a body it must be fired a couple of times before communication starts working correctly. Using the test fire for this purpose seems to work. This happens on both the bodies I have used the flash with. Perhaps a new version of the firmware will fix this issue. - The user interace is counter intuitive.

I finally bought this flash, after reading many positive comments from m4/3 users on various forums, as a replacement main flash for a Bower unit Ive had about 5 years. The Bower flash never really pleased me, with a squeeze tab locking mechanism that always worked loose and resulted in the flash losing proper contact with the shoe. I simply stopped using it because of this and other issues. I was very pleased with the Godox TT350 as soon as I pulled it out of the case. First of all, theres the "bang for the buck" factor of getting a TTL, slave and HSS capable flash for less than $90, with case, diffusion attachment and colored filters included (I paid over $100 for the Bower unit with no accessories). What really impressed me about the Godox was the quality of construction. If feels very solid, with that "tight but not too tight" feel of things like the tilt-swivel head and control buttons that indicates good construction (to me). Then theres the locking wheel. Hurray: No more flash working loose during normal use. Ive run it through some basic paces and its a very competent little unit. My Rogue diffuser panel even fits it perfectly (the Bower was too large). I used the slave (with the Bower as the master) with no problems. I havent yet purchased the trigger unit as I wanted to try the flash itself out, but I will certainly buy that next. Overall, Im surprised that this flash has the build and feature set it does for less than $85 USD. There are flashes costing twice that with fewer features, and the ones that have the same features are about 3 to 4 times the price. PROS: Solidly built. Great value. Good performance and GN for the size. Uses only 2 batteries. CONS: Recycle time is a bit slower than my Bower flash (which used 4 batteries)

The flash works fine for triggering and TTL. I have noticed an issue with the high speed sync on my Panasonic G85 camera. It often leaves a brighter band of light towards the top of the frame. Also, I emailed Godox and got no reply. I also did experience a strong yellow color balance issues at one time. But while shooting an RF product in a RF chamber I got nice result and it worked fine. So, because of the lack of response and the couple issues, I am knocking two stars off my review. I did buy a second unit to see how they work together. If I continue to have issues I will return them. But, so far I think it will be fine.

Its nice to see powerful and versatile TTL flashes available at such a low price point. This has adequate power for living room and class room settings and comes complete with just about any accessory one would need (bounce head, filters, diffuser). One of the main things I miss when I shoot with the Olympus EM10 built in flash is the ability to bounce. This relatively cheap accessory provides shadowless stop action flash photos of kids, dogs, sports and crowds.

This particular flash unit was my option chosen over the Olympus High End Flash Unit. I thought, "Why not give it a try? If it works I just saved a lot of money! Besides, I dont use a flash very often, so no sense in spending a ton of money on something I use so rarely?" So, I bought this unit and I have to say, the quality is really pretty good. So far it works very well and for me, for the little that I use a flash, it is perfect for me! The operation is VERY similar to the Olympus unit and although the instructions sent with the package are a little weak, perusing YouTube answers any question you may have. The filters attach a little funny, but effective... although, I have never found a great need for flash filters.

This is an excellent flash, make sure you use high quality rechargeable batteries to get the most out of it. Using cheap batteries make it overheat and not run to its full potential, not to mention run out very fast.

This is a great little flash, especially at the price. It is well built and functions perfectly. I have bought two of these along with other Godox flashes and wireless transmitters. I dont know how the big camera companies can sell their overpriced flashes in completion with Godox, which have better functionality and are at least as well built.

I wanted compact flash. Most brand nane speed lights where huge. Thats was the whole reason of getting into MFT camera system, I wanted something light easy carry. This flash felt balance on my canera, where the other lighrs made my camera feel top heavy. This flash gives the right amount of added light without adding bulk to my gear.

Initially I had got a non ttl flash and some times I think it was going to sleep and not waking up resulting in missed flashes. So, I gave this a try. Seems to work. As a bonus, I also get the correct exposure every time and it is much smaller. I think that Godox flashes are better match than YONGNUO for Olympus and Panasonic cameras. I am planning to use them for off camera flash as well, at a later point.

I was in the 2nd hour of testing the Godox TT 3500 (Olympus) when the orange readout light stopped functioning permanently. Then the zoom function which can either be set in manual or auto (AU) stuck on 14mm, again permanently. Some swear that this small, two AA battery unit may be preferred over a manufacturers’ offerings, but if this unit is indicative of Godox quality control I would be cautious. I also read enough complaints of a non-existent Godox customer service as phone and email concerns are not returned.
