Better than expected! I purchased the T7i before Canon came out with the new Canon SL2, which has most of the same features as the T7i, but has a smaller, more compact frame. I think that I still would have chosen the T7i for the following reasons...auto focus is faster on the T7i with cross point autofocus, making my photos extremely sharp even with movement. So, if you’re photographing weddings or kids events, the T7i may be a better option. That said, the SL2 auto focuses better than many more expensive options. And the small camera frame makes it easy to take along. If the SL2 was available when I was purchasing the T7i, I would have given it a close look. Also, I was comparing the T7i to mirrorless cameras before purchasing the T7i. The reason that I went with the T7i was because the mirror protects the sensor when changing lenses from dust and the elements, like rain and snow. Also, mirrorless cameras typically take longer to boot up, and require that you’re in display view all of the time - which is horrible on battery life. In the last few months, Sony has come out with some great options that overcome the boot up and battery life problems, but they are still out of my price range. So, for the price and quality, Canon nailed it with the T7i. Love my purchase. Will use it for many years. I’m attaching some photos that I took while traveling in Europe. BTW, if you add any lenses, I highly recommend that you look at the 24mm lens for indoor pictures. I bought the 50mm (awesome lens), but because the T7i is a crop sensor, you have to stand half way across the room to get everyone in the frame. The 50mm on a crop sensor camera acts like an 85mm on a full frame. Love the fact that the 50mm lets in more light at f1.8 vs the 24mm f2.8. But with a flash (I recommend the Canon speedlite combined with a Gary Fong diffuser), the flash mitigates the f2.8 challenge. Note: The photo with the pheasant was taken while I was walking in a field. I could hardly track it fast enought, but the camera’s auto focus did! Also, the last two landscape photos were taken in Norway - the first was thru a semi-dirty window at 60mph and the second thru a bus window at about 35mph. Also good to note that all of these photos were taken with the 18-55mm kit lens. The lens takes awesome bokeh shots!

This camera package was a July birthday gift to replace my 15 year old Canon Rebel. I am in love with the T7i. I have used it on several kayak trips around the lake taking wonderful pictures of a pair of bald eagles here and one juvenile bald eagle with my Canon 300 image stabilizer lense. There is so much more that this camera does compared to my older Canon EOS. I really need to read the manual to learn how to best use this amazing camera. I have watched some YouTube videos on various techniques and they have been helpful. I am an amateur photographer and this camera makes me look much better than my true ability. I have used the tripod which I was sure I had no need for. I took some video of my husband and my daughter while they were sailing our lightening on the lake. I found I definitely needed the tripod because of the 300 lense I had on the camera. With the tripod I got some nice footage. Im looking forward to using this wonderful camera next year when our daughter makes us grandparents for the first time. Grandmas can never have enough pictures of their grandbabies! I would definitely recommend this package and camera. With the help of my husband I was able to sync the Bluetooth of my Samsung S7 to the T7i. It did take some time and he had to change the router frequency in order to make the connection. I now am enjoying wireless download with no problems and it is fairly fast. Granted not as fast as when using a card reader but very acceptable speed for me.

I received my package yesterday and I primarily bought this camera because I have a YouTube Channel which I desperately needed to upgrade my Camera. I know that at BestBuy and Walmart they were selling the camera alone for 800 - 850 so I decided to check out Amazon and found this amazing retailer with this almost too good to be true bundle. Mind you Im fairly new to this grade of camera equipment and when I received my package I was so impressed at the quality of extra accessories it provides. I looooove the bag since I am a YouTuber that wont just primarily focus on filming in my studio. This was perfect for a person like me. Getting all of these accessories individually would have cost me well over a grand. This bundle is one to definitely get, its the best value and in my opinion the best quality. I was way too tired to test out the actual camera but I know based on other reviews this is THE CAMERA TO GET for fellow YouTubers. I will definitely be doing a YouTube review on this package soon.

I am not new to photography; only to "digital" photography. So, when i read that a "wide-angle lens" and a "telephoto lens" were part of the deal, I thought this was a deal too good to be true. Well, it is. Although the CANON portion of the deal is exactly as advertised, the additional XitPhoto "lenses" are anything but lenses in the camera and photography sense. They are ADAPTERS - NOT lenses. Both attach to the lens that is affixed to the camera. I have a Minolta with a REAL wide-angle lens, not an attachment to a lens. It has its own camera-lens internal parts like any other camera lens. The XitPhoto website - very inadequate when it comes to contact and history information - says they are based in NY "with offices in Asia." Further, the print on the box says "Brooklyn, NY." However, the BOX and its innards scream CHINA! So sad! Japanese quality and reputation compromised and insulted by Chinese cheapness. So, while I like the camera and most of the accessories, these fake lenses drop the rating to an "its okay" rather than an "excellent." I wish I had known about this before I bought it.

This camera is amazing! This is my first DSLR and the quality of photo is amazing. I have never used one so I’m just on the auto mode or the no flash mode, and they both take amazing pictures. I’ve been watching videos on YouTube to learn how to use the camera and it has really helped. When objects are up close and steady there is a great background blur that happens naturally with the auto mode. I believe there’s also a function to increase this blur. The connectivity is so convenient, it can’t be beat. The WiFi button is great. I have been transferring photos directly to my phone, and you can also take pictures using your phone as a remote. It allows you to see through the camera lens right on your phone. It’s really easy to set up the WiFi and the link between your phone and camera, you just need your WiFi password and to download the app called Camera Connect. Today I used the application on my computer to transfer photos wirelessly and it worked easily. I didn’t need to read directions, it’s pretty intuitive if you’re decent with computers and technology. The accessories seem fine, but I really just am using the battery, charger, lens, carrying care, and memory card right now. I’ll be putting the neck strap on soon. *used editing software on iPhone for the Christmas tree pic

The post from Ritzcamera on amazon included a video of whats included in the kit. The video shows a rode video mic, I knew that it didnt come with that, but the video is misleading. Also the pictures shows that you receive a few filters for the lense. It came with a macro, a telephoto, and wide angle filter. But not a single uv, or color balancing filter. So again, misleading and incorrect advertising.... overall very satisfied with the deal on this kit. But due to incorrect and misleading advertising, Ritzcamera, you get 3 stars.

As the product description says, the Ritz Camera kit comes with the Canon T7i 18-55mm Video Creator Kit which includes the T7I, EF-S 18-55mm Canon lens, Rode microphone and 32GB SanDisk Class 10 SDHC card. The additional items in the Ritz Camera kit include another 32GB SanDisk SDHC card, Polaroid 160 LED Light, Xit Shoulder Bag, Polaroid Memory Card Wallet and Universal LCD Screen Protector. However, the rest of the items in the Ritz Camera kit that I received do not match the product description or images. The monopod that I received was an Xit monopod, not Polaroid. The rest of the items are Ritz Gear instead of Polaroid. Also the tripod is only 50", not 72" as stated in the product description. And only 3 filters were included instead of the 4 stated in the product description, missing the WARM filter. Misleading customers on a website where they cannot see what theyre buying is simply unacceptable.

Love this camera! Was debating on whether to get a quality video camcorder that took subpar pics, or a quality camera that took possibly shakier, videos. Well, Im glad I went with this camera! It takes amazing stills and the video is really good! Is it as smooth as my sony handicam on videos? No, but they are home videos, not MGM movies. This works great for taking quick videos of my baby. Besides the little imperfections make it look more old school / nostalgic "home video" type of clips. Perfect for my needs.
