Tamron AFF017N700 SP 90mm F/2.8 Di VC USD 1:1 Macro for Nikon Cameras (Black)

This lens is amazing. I’m using with a Nikon D600. Laser sharp! My coworker does wedding photography as a second job and he was very impressed with the sharpness as well. I have been using it for portraits and candies of my 10 month old son and I have some of the most amazing images. I typically used my Nikon 50 1.4 for these types of photos but it’s basically rendered that lens just ok and nownslated for replacement for a higher quality option. This lens is a must have for any photographer, pro or hobbyist, who not yet added a macro lens to their collection! The macro shots produced are breathtaking, with stunning details and sharpness. Same goes for portrait shots or just about anything else a long primer would handle so much so, that it can match my Sigma 50mm F1.4 DG in sharpness, clarity and details! I cant recommend this lens strongly enough, thanks Amazon!

This lens works great on my Nikon D7100 which is a crop sensor DSLR. Doesnt work with Nikon Z6/Z7. Tamron doesnt mention it on their website and Amazon description also doesnt mention. Kept getting a loud noise and the focusing point kept hunting. I called Tamron to confirm if this lens works with Nikon Z6/Z7 and I was told it not compatible . They dont have an update firmware for the lens in order for it to work correctly with Nikon Z6/Z7. I need to find a macro lens thats compatible with Nikon Z6/Z7.

A good lens - I bought as a backup to my 100 mm L - series Canon. I see no significant difference between them Good price for great performance. However still requires getting very close to my quarry

Not a bad lens but I was disappointed when I compared it to my friends Nikon 105 macro. The Tamron rattles like a rock in a can when focusing an the images were not as sharp as the Nikon. Were it not for the direct comparison I probably would have kept the lens but the rattling is really a distraction and gives a sense of cheapness. I returned the lens and came up with the additional money for the Nikon.

Incredible lens. Quality build, solid feel. A little tricky to learn to use. The DOF is razor-thin in the macro range. Great image quality, very sharp. Great as a backup portrait lens. My first non-Nikon lens and very impressive.

I wanted to wait a couple months before I wrote a review on this lens so that I could share my honest opinion after a little bit of use. This lens has not failed to impress all the hype is real, the photographs that have been taken have been extremely Sharp with great color rendition. This lens is not just a great macro lens it is also fantastic four portraits I use it on a Canon 7D which basically gives me a focal length of 135 mm definitely would recommend this to anybody who wants great photos.

I am so happy they have upgraded this lens. I was going to buy the older version before this one came out. Im glad I waited. I have only taken a few pics with it, but so far I like what I am seeing! Have not tried it from a macro perspective yet, just took a few portraits. The DOF is excellent!

The built Quality is very good , and you feel it a soon as you get your hand On the lens , The picture Quality is razor sharp at between F8 and F13 , less sharp at 2.8 which is normal. Great focal length for portrait and beauty photography.

This is a great MACRO lens. Ive using it for a week with excellent results. AF is good but the best i like about this lens is the VC. Excellent low light pictures.
