Great lens, but definitely expensive
Sony 70-200mm f2.8 gm-ii is definitely wonderful lens. I jabe covered two events and amazed by it’s output. I can ise the jpeg straight from the camera. Excellent quality. Cons- very expensive lens. Prpbably in future i will rethink again n again if i will go for sony or some third party lens to be honest. I am a big fan of sony, but budget matters!

Awesome Lens!
I could have dished out the extra money to get the GM II, but I didn't feel it was necessary. This lens was great when I took it to the zoo on a family outing. I'm not the best photographer around (still learning), but this lens definitely exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend this lens to anyone wanting a 70-200 zoom, especially paired with the 2x teleconverter.

I am a fan of Sony’s GM lenses. I’ve take some choice photos with this lens. It’s well worth it.
FE70-200 F2.8 GM
Purchased this super lens from ffords in Scotland to try out against my F4 version, well the results are outstanding, yes its big and heavy but that's not a problem for me and i'm no spring chicken! Sold the F4. I would highly recommend this lens if you shoot action in dull lighting.

Took the 70-200 2.8 with the A7iii to the skate/bike park to give it a test run. I could not be more satisfied with the results. Perfect!
Versatile Sports Lens
I bought the 70-200 about 9 months ago and am very happy I did. Very versatile when I shoot sports. I use it in combination with my 400mm and soon to be 600mm to shoot field sports. Spectacular glass.
Outstanding performing pro lens.
I have just swapped from Canon (which I have been using since 2000) to the Sony Alpha system. The FE 70-200mm F2.8 GM OSS, is an exceptional lens, which produces pin sharp images in all lighting conditions and when coupled with the new Sony a9ii and the tracking focus, it has increased my action hit rate to almost 100%! It is also smaller and lighter than its rivals and so makes it much more user friendly. An excellent piece of glass.

I replace the f4 version with this a month ago, and it’s noticeably better quality. It’s slightly heavier but the steady shot means you don’t miss a moment. I used it at the snowboard World Cup in laax in -12 conditions and it was amazing
