Solar Power Rocks
I chose the Instinct 2s solar predominantly because I work outdoors in the sunny Southwest. Seeing the solar graph being generated while on a nice sunny hike really made me happy. I find the tracking to be accurate and the watch to have all the capabilities I’d want. I do wish that I would’ve purchased the full-sized watch instead of the smaller “s” version. I do have small wrists, but I also have aging eyes, and I think the bigger screen would be welcomed.

Does not switch on
I received my Instinct 2S Solar today. I have had it on charge for 3 hours. I have followed all tutorials, hard resetting it, etc. The watch is faulty from the onset and I am so disappointed. I would never expect a totally defective watch to pass through Garmin as I would expect there to be quality control measures and testing in place prior to packaging.

Poor readability.
I bought the Instinct 2S Solar several weeks ago and am still fumbling through settings on the watch! The small brochure that came with it was of little help. I had to watch some YouTube videos to set some of the less basic settings. Not intuitively designed! The other issue is the tiny script. I’m a young 60 and wear readers, but not in the pool- some tweaks to background lighting and increases font size would be helpful. While I know there is a learning curve, I am generally a quick study. This watch is a bit frustrating, hence the 4/5 stars!! Could also be some glare on the watch face. Visibility is my main issue.

Garmin Instinct 2 Solar
My first “smart” watch, Gen Xer, and after a bit of research I’m so happy with choosing Garmin! I looked at a few other name brands and they have the watch that I was looking for. Very easy to use, hardly needs to charge with the solar capability, not pretentiously large, great app, tech that pertains to me and skips the noise - oh and military grade rugged. I upload the health metrics to ai and it helps me to stay on track. I’ve been using now for just under a month and I’m very happy with my purchase.

solid watch
this has everything ive wanted in a watch! it’s well built, i love the features it has for running and other workouts. the solar feature is fantastic. and the smaller size is a great fit for my small wrist.

Works with my garmin explore
Got this watch to pair with my Garmin dog collars. After a learning curve I was able to get my track on my watch on the same map as my dog collars! Love the extra long battery life Still haven’t tried the solar charging just yet

Primarily Used For Emergency Text Capability
My family is working in another state. I am alone in a remote area, tending the dogs, rabbits and turkeys. If I fall or something, hopefully the emergency text function will save the day. The Large Display and Solar function are very appealing. I keep fit without keeping track, and am able to disable power using functions. Light and comfortable, it is a good feeling to have this on the wrist.

Long Battery Life and Easy to Learn!
Been using the Garmin 2S Instinct for about a month for logging runs and workouts. Overall amazing battery life and a plethora of metrics to track recovery, sleep, and stress. Coming from and Apple Watch 5, this was the upgrade I didn’t know I needed.

Favorite Watch I’ve Owned!
I’m in love with my Instinct. I love the design and the rugged look. The smaller size fits my wrist perfectly. It doesn’t have the fancy touchscreen but I am 100% fine with that. I’d rather have the buttons. It has all the features I want and then some. I wear it all day and night so I can track my sleep. Love the morning report when I wake up. I run and hike a lot and it’s been fabulous for that. Bonus—solar powered! Thank you Garmin!

Instinct 2S Solar
I have had the Instinct 2S Solar for about a month and I’m super glad with this purchase! I love to run, hike, raft, kayak and I feel like this watch fits perfect for my lifestyle. I love the rugged/sporty look of the watch. Also, I love the size of this watch. It doesn’t look too big or too small on my wrist. 10/10.
