My Garmin 745 died after four yers and this is even better!! Battery life is amazing and screen resolution is awesome, plus all health and activity trackings you want, and light weight. Just a great watch and nothing negative to say. Oh and having customize watch faces/background is also amazing. You even those up with your own photos. Love it!
My Favorite Garmin
I bought this to replace my Forerunner 645 Music after I broke a lug. I tried my GF’s Vivoactive but I didn’t like the size or feel of the band. I love the larger screen and the color display of the 965 so much! I’ve barely scratched the surface of its functions but it’s an impressive watch.
Best watch for training. Period.
Garmin's tech is unmatched. I was an Apple Watch user for YEARS. It took a while for me to feel comfortable getting out of the Apple ecosystem, but I'm so glad I did. The battery life of this watch is crazy. easily gets 20+ days on it even while consistently wearing and tracking workouts. Very customizable - can switch out watch faces and alter data screens for workout types. Can sync Spotify playlists and connect bluetooth headphones. Which is awesome for running, because you can set audio cues for lap times. Just can't say enough about how awesome this watch is. Even better if you have the Garmin HRM - instant pair and seamless data transfer. Bravo Garmin!
Awesome! Worth it!
This watch is amazing! Better than expected despite knowing how good Garmin products are. Use it every single day and it blows past expectations!
My 965 is easy to use and accurate
My friend had a 965 and after a mountain bike ride he had lots of data to review. We spent a few minutes reviewing the data. So much helpful information such as average bpm, max bpm, average speed, max speed, and a lot more. The map feature that shows where you expend more energy is cool. I decided to buy a 965 as well. I am 67 and find the 965 is easy to use. Seems very accurate. The IQ app is very easy to use. Battery life is impressive. I get about 12-14 days on a charge There is a learning curve with the 965 but because the basic things that I use are easy to figure out it's fun to add to my knowledge at my pace. The 965 is a cool tool to track your daily progress. The more I use it the more I like it.
Forerunner 965
This watch is overkill for what I need in terms of mono structural training. For biking, running, and swimming this watch is amazing. But for working out with weights I’m sure there are better options than this. This watch probably for elite triathlon trainers not weekend warriors like myself. Great battery life and a really nice display. This watch can do a lot and has a lot of metrics and apps more than I need. But I would reccomend

Triathlon training, there's nothing like this watch! Has all the capabilities you'd need and many more. Connects to training peaks workouts and battery life is insane. 95%-70% in 1.5 days.
Best Watch Purchased
I’ve gone through my fair share of watches. I’ve used early models of Garmin and Polar. Probably the best watch I’ve ever used. Accurate, lots of features. The best feature is the sleep/HRV reads every morning. It helps me hone in on exactly what I need to change or keep to get a good nights rest and a high sleep score. The motivation and prompts are really $$ features. I would recommend this watch to anyone for any reason.
