Loving the battery life and MIP display
I've had an Apple Watch for several years, and, while I still like it in a general sort of way, it falls short for me. It's useless for travel IMO because of the short battery life, and that's what brought me here. I've had my Fenix 7s Pro - Sapphire Solar for about a month, and I love it. I would have charged the Apple Watch 30 times by now; I've charged the Fenix 7s Pro twice. :) I'm still learning about it, but I'm super impressed with its performance. Easy to have a good experience straight out of the box. I walk, run a little, cycle a little, swim, practice Pilates, walk dogs, and do the occasional sprint triathlon, but I also hike a fair amount and volunteer as a naturalist. I'm leaning more into that as I get older, and many of my travel dreams involve hiking, although nothing too extreme. I'm female. In choosing a watch, I wanted: - a least a few days of battery life - phone notifications (calling not necessary) - sports settings - maps/navigation/compass - music stored on the watch The Fenix, Epix, and Forerunner models offered all of those. I have small wrists, and the 47mm size just wasn't comfortable for me, which ruled out Forerunner. Since I would be going with 42mm, I decided on MIP display for the better battery life. Wasn't sure of sapphire vs. Gorilla glass, as I'm usually not hard on watches, but I'm definitely not a rose gold/tan person. All that led me to the Fenix 7s Pro Sapphire in black. I need some color, so I've changed the strap. The watch does way more than I need, but it has everything I wanted as a casually active person with diverse interests, and it might inspire me to dig deeper in some activities. No regrets!

The perfect watch!
Upgraded from a Venu 2 to this. My friend gave this to me after a year of using it. We do the same sports, and it’s held up well for what she put it through! This is the perfect watch for a weekend warrior! The endurance score, hill score, training readiness & training status are insightful - an upgrade from the Venu. It has more than enough activity profiles. Battery life is Garmin standard and the solar is a nice addition. It easily connects to my external HR monitor. I use the flashlight feature more than I thought I would! You can’t go wrong with Garmin. If you are on the fence about this watch, don’t be!

Best Watch I've Ever Owned — A Data-Lover’s Dream
I’ve had the fēnix® 7S Pro Sapphire Solar for a few weeks now and let me just say — this watch is an absolute beast. As a runner, this thing is built for performance. As a data analyst, it’s built for obsession. Every morning I wake up pumped to check my sleep score, heart rate trends, VO2 Max, and Body Battery — and that’s just before coffee (or in my case, another run). The solar charging is no gimmick either — I’ve gone days without plugging in, and it just keeps going. The size (42mm) is perfect for my wrist, giving it a sleek but rugged look without being bulky. It feels like it was made specifically for people like me who want all the power and features without sacrificing comfort or style. Whether I’m logging hill runs, strength training in the garage, or tracking recovery, this watch delivers with precision. The custom data fields and metrics keep me dialed in every step of the way. I’ve used plenty of fitness trackers, but nothing even comes close to this. If you’re serious about your training — or just love seeing every metric your body can produce — the 7S Pro is your new best friend.

Love this watch!
I bought this a month ago when I saw they were getting rid of them for the Fenix 8's. I had done a product comparison on the site before, and the only thing the 8 had the 7 didn't was an AMOLED screen, and slightly better waterproof rating for the new dive features. That was it. Not enough for me to want the 8 over the 7, or justify the large price difference. Beyond that, this is a huge upgrade for me from my fitbit. I wanted a watch that would be durable and have a longer lasting battery than the Apple or Google watches. I loved it could have increased accurate GPS coverage and maps for when I go hiking. My sister has the Apple and her battery not only dies before a long hike is over, but the GPS isn't as accurate. The health metrics seem to be in depth compared to the fitbit, and I like seeing my training status and load efficiency. I tested this battery last week. Any time you start a GPS related activity it zaps the battery more. I was also out in full sun often so this helped. I was able to log a hike + 3 short kayaking sessions on one charge, and it lasted 11 days before needing a charge. (I did not have any smart phone notifications turned on) If you're looking for a watch that's geared more towards those who are into outdoor recreation for their exercise, and has the rugged durability to survive these activities, this watch is for you. If you need just a smart watch for time, emails, and what not this watch might be overkill for what you're looking for.

LOVE!!
I am absolutely loving my Fenix 7s pro sapphire solar. It is so pretty and I love all of the info it gives me. I have had a whoop for a year. It gives me so much more info. I think the sleep is more accurate in whoop and maybe hrv but Garmin seems to be more accurate in everything else. I am hooked and will retire my whoop next month when my year is up. Garmin fan here.

Feature Rich, Comfortable Gem of a Smart Watch
After long hours searching and comparing brands and models of sports smartwatches, and many tries to find my perfect one, I decided to spend a bit more and got a lot more for my money! The Garmin Fenix 7S Pro Sapphire Solar Edition armed with free large type dial face has exceeded my expectations! Extremely long battery life, solar charging, GPS mapping, compass, good looks and an array of features make this my perfect watch! Thank you Garmin - You have come through for me again with your great products!

Love this!
I bought this about 3 weeks ago and I have been loving it! It's nice to be able to see all of the health insights. I did have one instance where it didn't record my sleep overnight because it wasn't detecting my heart rate. I do have tattoos on my arms so I suspect that is what interfered with the sensor. But other than that, I haven't had any other issues and it's been great! I do with there was a notification to let you know when the watch is "off body".

Obsession
This has been my favorite device so far from Garmin. I still have my Edge 520 computer for my bike and recently used the Vivomove, which has its fair share of problems. Having switched to a competitor for the past three years, I was unhappy that the competitor device wouldn’t show me my zones while working out. That’s when began my search back into Garmin. I came across the Fenix Pro 7 Sapphire. I loved the athletic look and the different sizes it had to offer. It’s comfortable and I absolutely LOVE that I can analyze my zones during my work out. It also features a built in compass, navigation and light which will come in handy for my hikes. I’m inlove with this and can’t wait to try the golf feature! Glad to be back with Garmin.
