Solid choice for a full-motion TV bracket
I was mounting a 43-inch thin panel and when it arrived, I thought this is overkill. Once mounted up, I believe it was perfect for my son's gaming. It's a heavy duty bracket, well built, and smooth function. I bought some construction grade lags with button heads and they are easier to install than provided lag bolts. The value for this bracket is incredible.

When purchasing a wall mount there are several basic considerations. The first is the weight of your display versus the weight limit of the mount. You should look for a mount with a weight capacity that exceeds the weight of your TV by at least 50%. The reason for this is that the rated weight capacity of a mount is the absolute maximum weight it can withstand without incurring a structural failure of some kind. Sufficient for a heavy 58" plasma TV
We're very happy with this wall bracket as it both raises the TV a bit for a more "cinematic" experience and removes the weight of the thing from the stereo cabinet below. I had to offset the bracket to ensure two studs were used in the bolt pattern. Doing that prevents the scissor action from collapsing fully with the TV centered in our layout, but that's not a problem for us. It's a little bouncy when adjusting, but not unstable at rest. The TV was easy to mount, just clip the TV to the bracket after everything is bolted up, but one clip needed a tiny bit of persuasion as it wasn't quite as wide as the plate. That was nerve racking for an instant with such a heavy TV. It's nice to be able to pivot the TV for connection access and it's a great aesthetic addition to our entertainment center.
