The Anderic RMC12249 remote control is a ready-to-use replacement for a wide variety of Sony DVD players and DVD/VCR combo units. Modeled after the Sony RMTD240A, it works straight out of the package with compatible models—no programming required.
This remote includes essential functions such as MENU, SLEEP, DISC MENU, and full playback controls. It is specifically designed for Sony DVD and DVD/VCR combo players and cannot be programmed for other devices like TVs or cable boxes. If your unit displays “DVD1” or “DVD2” when using this remote, refer to your original Sony remote to reset the device back to the default “DVD3” code set, as the RMC12249 is fixed to operate on DVD3 only.
