Great Antenna
This antenna sits perfectly on top my tv, and has a very slim and sleek design you really don’t notice it unless pointed out! The signal is much stronger than other ones I have tried and the signal is very clear I never have to move it!
Outperformed by homemade coax antenna
Sleek design makes it concealable. That’s the only reason I gave it 2 stars. Only picks up the very strongest signals. The coax antenna I made by stripping then separating the braided shield from the conductor worked better. Philips Hover w/out amplifier received 0 and with amplifier received 17channels. My homemade coax antenna received 34 channels.
Very happy with this antenna
I wanted to wait to review this until I added for about 6 months. It’s worked great for me and the price was very reasonable. I like that the set up is very easy and it sits right on the TV discreetly so no one has noticed it. I get all the same channels I was getting with another antenna that had to be put in a window and had a visible cable that cost more. It couldn’t have been easier to put together so you’ll know in minutes if it’s going to work for you. Would definitely recommend.

Loved The Antenna
Took my husband a few to connect to my Roku TV. After we figured it out worked well. Standard channels like 2, 5, 5 ,9 have five bars fir antenna ????. The ones that have a point in the have 4 bars which was expected fir Chicago. Happy with the purchase especially since I got rid of cable.

Happy with purchase
I don't have a Flatscreen Smart TV and it scanned 78 channels. Easy and quick install. Good price. Not bulky. Simply connect, mount, and scan. Connect antenna to the amplifier (included), then the amplifier to your TV's coax cable port. Connect the power supply to the amplifier and to the wall outlet. Mount the antenna on the wall or on the top of the TV or simply place on a table top. Scan your TV for UHF/VHF channels. Woowhoo!

The antenna that blends in.
The Philips Hover HD Amplified TV Antenna is pretty sweet. I like the design as it gives several options on how to mount it. You can fasten it to the wall, attach it to the top of your television or lay it flat on something nearby. Currently I have mine clipped to a nearby mirror because I tend to move my furniture around often. I prefer this over the last antennae I owned which was a flat panel that stuck to the wall making it a pain to move if not impossible once it was stuck in place. I counted approximately 25 channels which is great because the antennae I had before this one only gave me 4 channels when I moved my furniture where it is now. The picture quality is really good, no pixels, squiggly lines or cutting in and out. I have not experienced any interference whatsoever. Displays channels in full 1080p high definition. The Philips Hover HD Amplified TV Antenna is made for use with all brands of TVs and converter boxes making it a one size fits all which means you do not need to purchase any type of converter hardware and easy to install. Overall this is an excellent tv antenna. I get less channels with cable tv then I do with this antennae. I plan to end my cable tv when my contract is up and will purchase another for the living room.
Nice slim design
I really want to love this item as we’ve been wanting to cut the cable! I do like the slim and sleek design. It can fit anywhere! Plus it was so very easy to “assemble”- if you want to call attaching a cable to one end of antenna and the other end to the tv! Instructions were very simple. However, we tried this antenna on three televisions and all we could get was six channels. Five of those channels were Spanish stations - we don’t speak or understand Spanish. But the pictures were clear, none of the snowy pictures like in the olden days. We are thinking it may be just where we are living as we are surrounded by mountains on two sides and an ocean on the other side.
