I would have rated this TV 5 stars, however it took two hours to get the Netflix app to work without constantly freezing and locking up the TVs OS. Symptoms we experienced: Launching Netflix and attempting to watch a show would cause the show to repeatedly buffer and get stuck at 99%. After this occurs, the TVs OS becomes incredibly sluggish and it becomes nearly unresponsive, forcing a full reboot of the TV. Disabling "Smart Security" feature completely resolves this issue, and gets rid of the sluggishness and freezing experienced within the TVs OS. We also disabled auto-update as we saw this was recommended by other owners as a potential fix. To disable Smart Security: Menu button on Remote> System > Smart Security > Off Pros: TV is incredibly light and thin. Picture quality is great. Once Smart Security is disabled, navigating the menu and apps are responsive and quick. Easy to use. Price Cons: TV is not ready to use "Out of the box". Smart Security feature completely cripples the TV and makes it unusable with built-in default apps. 3/5 stars. 5/5 once the Smart Security feature is disabled.

DO NOT BUY THIS TV, IT HAS LINES RUNNING DOWN THE SCREEN AFTER ONLY OWNING THIS TV FOR 10 MONTHS! I did a picture test from the Menu on TV, and I also made sure that the TV has has the latest software updated, and it STILL has 4 white vertical lines running down, mostly, the left side of the TV screen...so now I have to pay the deductible on the SquareTrade insurance that I purchased here on Amazon the same day I bought this television..SquareTrade better cover this and I hope its headache-free. Do not buy this television, Samsung does not make good, quality televisions anymore. After 20 minutes the kines appear to fade away but as soon as you turn the television off and on again, the Bold white vertical lines are still there, a technician has to be called, look at the reviews regarding this television and apparently other Samsung televisions have this SAME problem and Samsung knows that their televisions having these issues but they are not recalling them or giving a voucher to repair them, the consumer basically has to absorb the cost...please Google the reviews and you will see for yourself. Just Google this: My new Samsung television has vertical lines on the screen

This TV is VERY slow. it takes forever to connect to the internet. it needs at least 4 - 5 minutes to get connected. My other Vizio tv, which is less pricey than Samsung instantly connect to the internet even though it sits far away from the router. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Waste of time and money. Do not buy if you do not have a cable box. Try a Roku TV instead. This samsung defaults to the grainy screen (see pic) with each click of the remote. Next the remote is cramped with buttons making navigation confusing. When you get past that, netflix and amazon are the only apps that loaded (most times) without a glitch. Tech support is responsive but this tv feels less smart each time i turn it on and stare at a black screen waiting for something to load.

First of all I have to disclose I bought this tv refurbished for only $198 dollars taxes included from the amazon warehouse, with that being said lets begin. First question is it worth buying a 2015 model at the moment? Answer: Depends on the price as I do believe is an excellent TV with great features and really good sound quality too Would you recommend it to anyone? Answer: at $379? I wouldnt to be honest, i would say around $250 would be an excellent value TV How is response time and picture quality? Answer: I do have a no brand TV (Avera 49 inch 4k TV) and while the Avera does display 4k content and looks a little bit sharper honestly I wouldnt take the Avera over this if the price was the same. Response time is good not great and picture quality is really really good even though I wish blacks were a little bit deeper but hey is no OLED display. Pros -Excellent build quality I have had it for for more than 2 years and I bought it refurbished and still works as the very first day - Smart menu is really good and easy to use - Control remote feels of good quality - Stand while I feel is not the best it does the job - Sound quality is actually pretty good, I do have an LG soundbar hooked it up but man it sounds good for TV speakers Cons - Price, at retail price is not worth it but if you can get it for cheaper (and by cheaper I mean at least $250) go for it - Wish blacks were a little bit deeper but Im just being picky right now

First off, the Amazon reviews system is very confusing. When I click on a product I find the reviews at the bottom on an entirely different product than what I clicked on. This review is for the Samsung UN43J5200 43-Inch 1080p Smart LED TV. I am not sure what problems other reviewers had, but i am OCD and this is a great tv. I placed it in the bedroom and found the sound to be very good along with the picture to be above standard. The internet is quick and I can switch from cable to Netflix very quickly. The only flaw I could find is that the mounting screws do not come with the tv, so order them online from amazon for 5 dollars. The proper size is M8. I would recommend the 30mm. Stop looking and buy this tv!

For the prince, this TV is a good purchase. Picture quality and color are very good. Since I havent had a TV for 8 years, Im pretty satisfied with this purchase. It definitely beats watching Netflix on my computer. However, I did have a very hard time configuring this TV. I was on the verge of sending it back within the first week. I could not get Netflix to function properly. Every time I tried to watch something on Netflix, it would go into an eternal loading loop and crash. I couldnt exit the application without force powering off the TV, which was a huge pain because the TV is painfully slow to start up! It takes almost 2 minutes to "prepare the TV" so that you can open one of the smart applications. I finally reset the TV, which I really didnt want to do because setting up all the applications with usernames and passwords took over an hour (slow typing when you have to use arrows to select each letter). However, after resetting the TV, everything seemed to work just fine. Some applications that are NOT AVAILABLE that I would really love to see on this TV are: Spotify, NPR, TED Talks and some other radio and news options. However, you do get Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO Go, YouTube and Pandora is offered as an application you can download. So, the two stars get docked for the extremely slow startup, difficult setup and challenges getting Netflix to work, and lack of popular applications.

Picture beautiful. However, Ive spent hours "tuning" it. Backlight was problematic because TV is shipped with a power saver option turned on, which caused the picture to fade. Thank goodness for Google. Also, it is advertised as a possible replacement to Roku. Dont you believe it because many apps/channels available on Roku are missing for this TV. I still have my Roku attached to this TV.

Picture quality was ok. Sound quality poor. Bought May 2016 and it started giving problems March of 2018. The remote refuse to work change batteries, call services desk. Spent several hours and still keep getting a message to contact Samsung. Did that! Spent hours problems still continuing . Worse of all no buttons on this kind of TV so you cant even manually try to fix it. Its been stuck on the same channel. Is it Samsung hope for its customers to replace their products 2 years. . I am so stupid actually purchased a Samsung 9+ phone too . I can wait to see if it only last for two years too. DONT BUY THIS TV...Especially the. ones with out buttons. Once the remote goes your TV is of no use. Dont buy!

Pros: Excellent picture quality, viewing angle, and sound. Nice and thin, small bezel, and light weight. I was able to mount it on the wall myself without being worried about dropping it and once mounted, it barely sticks out from the wall at all. Cons: I bought this for the smart tv features, and they are clearly not well thought out by Samsung 1. It takes several minutes after turning on before youre allowed to even use Youtube, Amazon, Netflix, etc. Watching via the antenna or HDMI ports works fine during this time. Minor, but annoying. 2. I attached an external keyboard/mouse combo (Logitech K400) to the TV. It recognized it right away and I thought "great, no more using the remote to tap out searches in youtube or netflix. Turns out that the letter keys (QWERTY etc) only work in the web browser, and not the other "smart" features. You still need to use the on-screen keyboard to search in Youtube or Netflix. Samsungs response to this was that the apps are developed by third parties. I call BS on that, they may not be developed by Samsung but theyre still part of the product. Its not like Im trying to use some obscure input device, just a keyboard. Samsung needs to grow a pair and force their app developers to make the apps usable, and not just marginally functional as they are now.
