This is one incredible projector that not only displays in 1080p but actually focuses well, unlike some other budget projectors, one of which was a $250 model I tried this week. I am very impressed with the picture and think youd be hard-pressed to find a better portable 1080p projector than AAXAs P7 model. I needed a projector that could produce a good-size image on screen with little throw distance as well as be operational while pointed at the ceiling for video watching while doing a special posture exercise. This projector ticks all these boxes and well. I owned a 720p InFocus ScreenPlay 5000 projector that retailed for more than $1,500 in 2005. AAXAs P7 projector may not handle color quite as well as that old projector (Id need more time to play with settings to know for sure), but I wouldnt expect it to for the size and price. If youre looking for a projector for weekly movie nights and/or use outside for gatherings or business presentations, this projector might be just the ticket for you! If youre looking for a top-tier-performing projector for half a grand, your expectations are sky high to the point of being unrealistic. I believe this projectors going to sell well once word gets out about its strong performance at such an affordable price. Im psyched I got it! Enjoy! :)

Where to start?! I’ve tried many pico and portable projectors in the last few years. This one is by far my favorite. Pros: Picture is very sharp and clear Sound is adequate. Loud enough for gaming and quiet rooms for movies. Got the screen up to 100 inches on the battery and the 400 lumens really are cutting it. I have a 2000 lumen Epson and it compared very well. The hdmi has no noticeable input latency. This was the issue with other projectors. No gaming possible. But the little guy gave me no issues. I was able to compete online in smash brothers and win without issue. The built in media player plays every media file I tried. No issues there. I paired with a fire stick and had a smart projector in no time. The onboard usb will power a fire stick. The battery was great. Watched incredibles 2 and some of Infinity war and played smash for 25 minutes. Lasted longer than the estimated 1.5 hours. Can’t recommend enough. Keystone works well. Easy to square up wherever I placed it. Cons: Sound could be beefier Picture has a purple/red hue that I can’t correct. I will dive into color setting more and update but so far it’s just what you see in the picture. It’s passable. The incredibles was on my kitchen wall at sunset about 50 inches. Looked fine. Smash brothers was over 100 inches on a screen in a black room. Really awesome but the corners in the right were a bit blurry. Probably also keystone issue. Last problem. The focus wheel, it’s not automatic and that’s ok. But the wheel clicks in different positions and I couldn’t find the sweet spot very easily. You won’t regret this one. My new favorite. I’ve had other aaxa’s. A riff 6 cube. A nebula Mars. Beats all of them.

Pros for this pico 1080p projector 1) very bright for its size. I can use it in daylight with the blinds about 50% open at the full 120 inches. I can safely get 65 inches in full daylight with lights on with washout on the dark spots, but that is because there can’t be dark spots on a whole wall in a lot room. 2) the image is surprisingly clear. I’ve had a dozen of these little projectors many were 720 or 800p and we’re decent, this bad boy throws a clear crisp image on nearly any surface. 3) it’s tiny, this is both a pro and con. The pro is you can keep it anywhere 4) price is great for a 1080p 450 lumen projector. It’s 600 on wall power, the 450 is more than adequate for indoor use. Cons 1) fan is wildly loud all the time. When in bright mode it’s unbearable. 2) speaker or driver for sound is complete garbage. The reason I’m sending mine back is for this reason alone. Sure I can use an extra external speaker but that defeats the purpose. 3) size, it’s too small for many places to be stable. Where something with a wider footprint would help it be stable. As well they had to cram all the ports together, so if you use a fire stick, chromecast, and the such in the hdmi they block the USB port needed for power. I used a 90 degree hdmi adapter to make room 4) it does not charge while on. This is to help with heat mitigation but man it’s a huge flaw. So if you drain it, plug it in and continue watching for say an hour, as soon as you unplug it it’s dead. Long and the short I use mine daily for my daughter so the sound and lack of charging while on doomed it from day 1. If this wasn’t a daily used item but say for presentation or weekends it’s perfect

I received it two days ago and have been testing it. Heres what I found: Brightness: It is very bright, bright enough to see the picture in a direct lighted room. Focus: The focus is a bit hard due to the size of the adjusting wheel. When in the Bright mode, the fan will kick in and it becomes very loud. Otherwise, on battery mode, the fan noise is not obvious. Picture: The picture is kind of blurry on the left side, I think it is because of the low quality lenses is used. The speaker is loud but breaks up when volume is high. The colors are saturate and good. To see its full potential, you need to turn off the light and a dim room. Otherwise, it will look like washed out. However, it is the best in the same price range. Speaker: The quality of the speaker is more like it exists so you can use it in emergency but you will not enjoy listening to it. Size: The device is much larger than what picture shows. It must be a giants hand. It is about the size of your palm. It is a squared device so you get the picture of the size. OS: The OS is kind of multimedia OS, not running Android like what typical low end projector would have installed. I do not really mind because those outdated OS is of no real use at all. You can use a fireTV stick or Google Chrome or even Miracast device to receive video wirelessly. Battery: It came with empty battery. It does not charge the battery when the switch is switched to "on" even though it is not powered on. For the price, this is a above average device. The main highlight is the high resolution(1080p) which is very good for presentation. It is very bright, you definitely can use it in a presentation room with a bit dimmed light for better viewing. It is way better than Ankers offerings. I have both of them and Nebula and Capsules. None of them is bright enough for normally lighted room. I would recommend it for brightness and easy transport.

I was looking for a small 1080P projector to use for presentations as I know the better resolution allows text to be viewed more clearly and I didn’t want to break the bank. I noticed AAXA’s line-up of projectors and gave them a call so they could assist me in choosing a projector that would work best for me and they recommended the P7 for me, as it was just within my budget. Once I received the projector, I was surprised by the portability of the size and the various connectivity options. Connected my laptop and noticed this projector is a true 1080P projector, unlike other brands (that I tried and returned) that market “up to 1080P” and it simply scales. Also tried plugging in a USB with various media to test out the built in media player and quickly realized that the remote must be pointed to the back of the projector as that is where the remote control receiver is located. Not an issue for me, but something I think other people should be aware of. There a some parts of the case I wish AAXA would improve, like the chrome bezel and I wish it felt a bit sturdier BUT overall, the projector performance is great, customer service was also great (and it’s also great to take a live person in the USA if you need support assistance) and the 1-year warranty also helps me have peace of mind as well.

Hello First, -the fallowing is my own opinion, no outside $ influence. This is first time I purchased a projector. After substantial reading, decided to get the AAXA P7. The packing was professional. The first think surprise me is the brightness. The image is sharp, and bright. I did play with a VGA resolution projector before and this one is by fare the best looking image I have saw. The 1920 X 1080 DLP should be the absolute minimum for projectors. I was struggling with a temptation to buy the LG one, (TV tuner, Android,) for an additional $200, however for the same brightness, same resolution, for $399 decided the P7. The operating system a bit old, but functional. The sound is ok, (not HiFi). The only complain I can come up with is the fan sound at high brightness. Still ok, but wish it would be less. Overall Im happy, and do recommend this projector. PS: I have received my projector screen, wow, what a difference in contrast and color. Again, For its size, and price really happy with the P7.

I purchased this projector primarily for use in a small planetarium (13 feet across), and it hasnt disappointed thus far. It has the resolution and brightness, as well as just enough contrast, to work fairly well in a planetarium context, and the minimum diagonal it can project (from my experience, around 10 inches) opens the door for several spherical mirror options. I attempted to show some example images that this projector can produce, but they really dont do it justice; theyre really more of a proof of concept. The images are distorted not because of the projector, but because of the use of a spherical mirror to project against a dome interior. The blurriness and ghost images are similarly not due to the projector, but are a consequence of using a less than stellar second-surface spherical mirror. Ill use a first-surface spherical mirror with this projector eventually, but since such mirrors are specialty items (on order from New Zealand), itll be a while before I can expect performance in a planetarium, in line with what this projector demonstrates on flat surfaces. Speaking of first-surface mirrors, being delicate, specialty items that are shipped halfway across the globe means that they are -- very -- expensive, especially as larger sizes are required. This is where the minimum 10 inch diagonal is very handy: since the P7 can project such a small image (and yes, it can project huge images too, but thats not relevant on this point), that means that its possible to use with the smallest -- and therefore, least expensive -- first-surface spherical mirrors produced. That makes a pretty big difference... the P7 projector, though certainly not cheap, is not the most expensive component in the planetarium, when those first-surface mirrors are considered.

The main advertisement picture for this projectror is misleading. I was expecting it to be much smaller and lighter. Im attaching some pictures so that you can see what I mean. I dont have average size hands and I wouldnt be able to easily hold it on my hand like the picture shows. Yes, its small for a projector, but its definitely not light and as other reviewers mentioned, its also quite large. I

Incredible image from this small projector. We use it exclusively on battery power, which works great. We did two presentations in the same day without recharging. A complete charge takes about 4 hours, and in a pinch you can use AC power. The only downside to this unit (and the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars) is that the it does not include a case nor is one offered from the company. (We found a compatible case: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072L7ZCDS.) Although my package arrived missing the remote, the folks at AAXA sent one immediately. Works great for presentations using a portable tabletop screen (we chose: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004OBYYWG). Although the brightness does not match that of larger projectors that require AC power exclusively, for conference room / tabletop presentations this little projector does the job remarkably well. And the portability is amazing.

I have tried a number of compact projectors for my bedroom and most on the market are dim and low res. There are some Chinese projectors with reasonably good spec but the one I bought (XGIMI H2) broke after 2 days of use. And returning it was a pain in the ass as I didnt order through Amazon. Anyway, I wanted something with around 500 lumens and 1080p, doesnt break the bank, portable (for use during trips) and reasonable customer support. The P7 ticks every box. The P7 is compact with very decent brightness for its size. It has 2 brightness settings at 400 and 650 lumens. 400 is definitely bright enough for me in a dark room and 650 is more suitable if you have a few lights on. The picture quality is great. Full HD resolution means the picture and text remains sharp when viewing at a screen size of 100 inch. I cant sense any motion blur and the color is quite accurate (though it still cant compare to a dedicated 4K TV, but we are talking about a 400 dollars pico projector here). AAXA even provided a firmware update to fix the red (to some degree) which looked more like magenta when I first used it. Full marks for AAXAs customer support. Although I didnt specially measured it, I didnt feel any input lag when I played Smash Ultimate or Mario Kart on my Switch. This is really a nice surprise. Now I can game on a 100 inch screen on my bed! :D The speakers are serviceable and loud enough but I hooked it up with an external sound bar for better enjoyment. The only real complain I have is the noise of the fans. Using a decibel app on my phone I got about 40-42 dB when the projector is at 650 lumens and in the mid 30s when its at 400 lumens. Because of the way I have it set up, the P7 is very close to me and I can definitely hear the fan, especially during quieter scenes in a movie, but I dont really notice the fans most of the time. The P7 strikes a great balance between price and performance!
