One of the big questions is what’s the difference between UBK90 and UBKC90, which is sold in one of the large warehouse stores that begins with “C.” They are the same. I made calls to LG and the large warehouse store and were told they are identical. I also downloaded the owner’s manual with specs and the manuals are identical. I purchased the UBKC90 and above the serial number is the date of manufacture, which was April 2018. So the UBKC90 is NOT last years model and identical to the UBK90. You can go to the LG web site and compare both models and call them to confirm. Happy shopping.

I own an LG B8 OLED. I bought this LG player to compliment the TV. It should be known that once a 4k disc is put in, it turns on hdmi ultra hd deep color. You cannot turn it off, and the picture quality is terrible. It doesnt allow you to set it to your ISF (light & dark room) settings. I even called LG customer service, and even they acknowledged that it cant be turned off. Greatly disappointed. My PS3 produces a richer, clearer picture at 1080p than this player does at 2160p.

Very happy with this 4K player AFTER I got the right hdmi cable. I had tried multiple cables even ones that were supposed to be rated 4K compliant. Figured Id give it one more try and bought this cable https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CLUXVB6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Worked perfectly. Lesson? If you buy a 4K player, be forewarned that your current hdmi cables might not work. The symptom I kept running into was that it would play dvds and blu rays perfectly but if I inserted a 4K dvd my TV would turn on HDR and the screen would go black. Hope this helps

It says it support premium service providers, but it only supports Netflix and Youtube. What about Amazon and Hulu? Sorry for that you have to buy the $100 BP550 player not the $250 premium player here. Ridiculous that the lower models and their TVs support adding service providers, but their expensive model does not.

This player was purchased for the UHD Dolby Vision capabilities. It does everything it said it would do. It plays 4K UHD disks with Dolby Vision or HDR10, and plays them well. It also upscales Blu Rays very well.

LG got it right, at last. This model works with 4k high definition blu rays and Atmos sound. The disk doesnt make any noise and the player works. Thanks LG.

The player randomly stops during playback. I have made the most of this bug, by proclaiming “Intermission”, taking a potty break and refilling my beverage. Fortunately it’s not as expensive as some other players, so there’s that. Hopefully they will do a firmware update to fix it.

The player works well, but I couldnt find the MAC address in order to connect to my wireless router. If youre using a routers secured access list you need to add the MAC to it before a device can connect. LGs customer service email, possibly a canned response, basically instructed me to connect wirelessly to learn the MAC, obviously impossible without changing my routers security feature. Their email had no return address to respond to, so I had to write an entirely new email. There might be a code that can be entered into the players remote control to access such information. You have to wonder about the people who design those menus. I was able to get the MAC address by making a wired connection to the router, but why should that be necessary? Very poor design.
