Great protection, poor design
I had high hopes for the OtterBox AirPods 4 case because OtterBox usually means solid protection, and in that regard, it definitely delivers. The case feels durable and I wasn’t worried about drops or scratches at all. That said, the cons outweigh the pros for me. First off, the material is way too slippery. I always felt like it was going to slide right out of my hands. Ironically, after a few weeks it started somewhat peeling, which actually helped with grip, but made it look pretty bad and cheap. The locking clip on the front is a good idea in theory since it keeps the lid secure, but it’s annoying to open and close because it takes more effort than it should. The carabiner is probably my favorite part – it’s sturdy and feels like it’ll last a long time. Wireless charging works fine through the case too, so no complaints there. One of the most frustrating issues is that the top part of the case kept slipping off. Even with the bottom locked in place, the top would just dangle there half the time. Overall, it offers great protection, but the design flaws, slippery material, peeling, and annoying lock mechanism make it not worth it for me. I expected better from OtterBox.

Excellent AirPods 4 case
I absolutely love this AirPods 4 case! I find that this AirPods model is not as popular especially compared to the Pros, so there’s not as many options for cases available on the market. This OtterBox case is sleek and protective. It slides on easily and fits like a glove. I particularly like the ring attachment and the locking mechanism, which are thoughtful features that really make this design 10/10.
Otterbox products are good
My airpods are slightly too big for this case to fit so I could not use it as intended. However by the looks and feel of it I think it would do it's intended job of protecting the airpods case from impacts and abrasions.
Practical and sturdy design
I got this for my sister, who’s a college student, and she thinks it’s a great product. The case is sturdy and practical. The carabiner is super handy for clipping it to her backpack, keys, or inside her bag. The material holds up well against scratches. You might need to replace the carabiner eventually, and it’s good to be careful with the lid, that’s why I’m giving it 4 stars. I wish I could share a better photo, but this is what she sent me.
Durable and sleek
This case is very durable and it comes with a study loop! I highly recommend this product if you want to protect your AirPods. I have purposely dropped the case and it remains infect and the earphones don’t even fall out. Anyhow—I’d be interested in different designs, but the black one is hands down—amazing!
Great fit
Works great with my headphones. I like the texture. Seems like it will help protect them and be more durable than the existing case alone. Fits tight and opens and closes easily.
Extremely durable case to keep your AirPods safe!
Overall great product! This case has the extreme durability that Otterbox has become known for. The outer shell has a nice “grippy” feel so the case isn’t going to be sliding around, plus it helps keep the case itself from getting dinged up as well. I also found the included carabiner to be handy for attaching the case to my keys whenever I’m on the go.
Decent protection, but a few design flaws
I received this product from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. The OtterBox case for AirPods 4 does the job when it comes to protecting the AirPods, but there are a few issues worth noting. The case itself is a bit stiff, which makes it slightly tricky to slide on at first. Also, the top piece isn’t attached to the body, and it separates from the body quite often. The included carabiner is a nice touch, but it’s quite small and hard to use. It doesn’t clip easily onto anything larger than a keychain, which limits its practicality. Overall, it’s an okay case that offers solid protection, but the design could use some improvements for everyday convenience.
Could be better
The overall idea is great. I don’t like the silicone feel(that’s just me though) and the top piece doesn’t not allow to open the case all the way so it makes it difficult to take out the AirPods. Also when I do try to open it all the way the top piece falls off since it’s not attached to the bottom piece. Could be better but still protects my AirPods.
