Best bang for your buck!
After reading countless reviews, I decided to purchase these stands for my new Polk R200's. Item came well packaged. 1) Extremely easy to assemble (reiterating a tip share by another reviewer - do not tighten all screws till you get all the legs nice and straight. 2) Filled all the 8 tubes with a 20-lb 5$ bag of cat litter. 3) For the feet, I purchased some M8x25 feet from the BigRiver and since we have hardwood floors, put some felt pads on those. Both stands are solidly stable! 4) For the speakers, used some Bostick DAP putty under the speakers where they sit on the stand top plate (stock plate is more than sufficient to hold my R200's nicely). Overall, the sound improvement with the cat litter fill, bostick was so good even my wife (not a audio enthusiast at all) was like "This sounds good!" and she watched "Elvis" again as it sounded so good! Buy these as you cant go wrong!.

Stellar quality for the money.
We have a few of these supporting anything from 50 to 80 lb speakers. They arrived double boxed, which was nice. These allow you to fill each stand vertical piece with ~20lbs of sand, damping resonance and adding mass for stability. You simply attach the base to an almost tight, or tight enough to now allow sand to spill out during the filling process. Turn the open top stands upright, then you stuff a funnel in the top and carefully pour the sand in. When it fills to the top, simply tap on the vertical pieces a few times to compress and settle the sand, then top everything off then tighten the top plate. The sand level will drop more than you think it will, so keep tapping until you see the sand level no longer drops. Turn the stand on its side, twist the vertical colums into place, and fully tighten the bottom plate. We've found that using 3M clear paint protection film allows you to protect your speaker from any scratches and it acts like an anti-slip surface as well. As we have experienced with all Monolith items, these are a great value for the money.

It?s pretty good except for on thing.
Very solid. Easy to fill with sand. My issue is the top plate is not flat. One speaker only makes contact on the 3 corners and the other doesn?t make contact in the middle. This has made my use of decoupling materials less effective.

Great stands
These stands are very well made and sturdy, just make sure to fill them with sand; they ring like a bell without it. They are comfortably heavy, and with the added weight of the sand I?m confident they can take an accidental bumping-into. For the price point these are really unmatched, and they look great.

Best buy in stands I found.
Super stands when modified. Ring like a bell when assembled and speakers would fly right off the top. 30 lbs of sand and some Gorilla double sided tape that comes in black solved both of those. So less than $10 to solve both of those. One gripe in todays world the fasteners would work better if Torx or square headed ones where used. You have to spend about $125 each to get stands that did not seem superior in any way.
