Perfect for indoors or the garden.
What a perfect size for indoors or outdoors, not too big to take up loads of surface space but big enough to give an all round smooth sound. Size wise is about half A4 ( magazine) and easily portable with a shoulder strap included. So easy to pair too, no messing at all and you can even create surround sound by pairing it with other Bluetooth speakers you may have . Time will tell on its IP67 qualities but it sounds like it’s built to last and certainly isn’t a plasticky cheap item. The sound quality was clear and smooth and no distractions of flashing lights etc… . It’s easy on the eye, has clear controls and has been perfect in our motorhome.

Great sound quality from Sony

Already owning two Sony ULT Field 5 wireless bluetooth speakers we know the excellent sound quality these Sony speakers offer. Sony ULT Field 3 has outstanding sound quality.
The sound quality of the Sony ULT Field 3 is outstanding so much base and good volume. Easy to Bluetooth pair. Nice strap, that’s easy to take on and off. My grandchildren (11 & 13) borrowed it and I had trouble getting it back.

Super rugged Bluetooth Speaker with Thumping sound
The Sony ULT Field 3 is a great portable Audio device with a IP67 rating and shockproof from small drops and water. Great battery life and thumping sound it’s great for around the home, garden or work depending on your job or days out down the beach etc. Out of the box then fully charged it’s a breeze to set up with super fast Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity and sound to match its really great to have as a grab and go audio device. It comes with a detachable strap if needed i find is really handy in certain situations just in case of any drops even though it’s built like a tank, Sony’s build quality glad fully never changes on anything they create. Great device to own I’m really happy with it.

Fabulous sound from a great little package
A great product. I use it in the house, in my garden and in the workshop. It feels so well made and has a quality weight. It connects quickly and holds the correction to my phone over some distance. Switching off the ULT makes oral podcasts better. Switch it back on for great bass boost to my musical preferences. Fells great, sounds great, looks great. No need for anything else.

Best travel speaker ever?
To qualify this review , I am not a hi-fi enthusiast, or a sound quality engineer . I use portable wireless speakers to listen to audible books , spoken word , music of all types , and pod casts. This is done mostly outside , in the hot tub , and in various locations in the house. My honest opinion of the Ult field 3 , is that it is the best speaker I have used that fulfills all my requirements. The size and weight is easy to manage , the carrying strap is useful, especially juggling drinks whilst changing locations . The controls are easy and intuitive, the speaker instantly connected to my IPad , and volume can be adjusted on speaker or iPad, as can pause etc. the battery last a long time , easily 24 hours at about 1/3 volume , half volume is enough to place at the other end of the room , and full volume is just too much for my requirements, ( I have neighbours) A quick 15 minute charge will give a couple of hours playing music , and a full charge takes about 3 hours. The ULT button , is great for music , and adds the necessary bass for hard rock and orchestral.for spoken word I prefer not to use ULT , as it does lower the crispness of speech What else do I like ? , the unit is well made, and sealed , I do like the fact that it is waterproof ( most travel speakers aren’t , and dampness will damage the magnets in the speakers) in fact I could drop it in my hot tub for 30 minutes and it would be okay , a claim I would never test ! The unit can be set to power down if not used for 15 minutes ,and can do other things I will never use like answer a paired phone To sum up , it is an excellent speaker , loud enough for any use , last a long time and is well engineered , it is not a stereo speaker on its own , but who listens to hi-fi in the garden or on the beach I am very pleased with this , and would happily recommend to anyone wanting a good quality portable speaker

Sony ULT Field 3 Portable Wireless Speaker
First used at a family BBQ with an android mobile phone and an apple i phone. Connection to both by blue tooth was easy. The sound quality was excellent and enjoyed by older and younger members of the family. The sound quality was also good at a distance. The ULT button boosts the bass if required. We left the ULT button on as we felt the sound quality was improved by it. The ULT Field 3 speaker was used all afternoon and the battery power was not depleted. the battery button in the rear of the speaker tells you the state of the battery (very useful). As with all Sony products the build quality and design is excellent. It is lightweight and easily portable and is provided with a shoulder stap for those that prefer to carry this way. Instructions provided are enough to get you started. The full instructions are available on line but are about 98 pages and take sometime to absorb.

Excellent Holiday Speaker
Absolutely awesome took this speaker on holiday had a villa in Spain,everyone from young to old had their music playing on Bluetooth wicked time the speaker has excellent sound superb bass enhancement we all loved it best speaker on the market today.

Small Size Big Sound!
This speaker was a big surprise. The sound performance is quite incredible for its size and it is so easy to use. You can set it up using the Sony Sound Connect App which is very intuitive and also is easy to connect to other devices just using the the bluetooth connect button on the speaker to directly pair to a phone or tablet. I find the size of the speaker just right for portability, its small enough to but in a suitcase or backpack for holidays and day trips. The other bonus is that you can use the speaker to charge your phone via the USB-c port which is very handy if your out and about and the run time off a charge will last up to 24 hours. I'm not sure I will use the speaker with the added shoulder strap but it is a nice edition for someone who wants to carry it around. Overall I find this is a very well built and durable speaker, especially with its water, dust, rust and shock proof qualities. I know this speaker will get lots of use!
