Great camera for a great price!
These are amazing for the price! We wanted 3 cameras but weren’t willing to pay over $100 for each camera. We used 2 with our existing doorbell - which was pretty easy to wire, and used the 3rd with a plug in adapter because we didn’t care if the doorbell rang. I think the audio and camera is great! If you want a doorbell camera for a better price this is an awesome option!
Good daytime camera
I have had a few different ring devices and this one didn't stand of to the others. Installation instructions were very easy to follow making it a quick process. I like that is uses the existing wires from my old doorbell for power so I don't have to worry about charging a battery. The camera works fine during the day. I was however pretty disappointed with the low-light/night-time video. Even with the porch light on, the image is fairly dark. Other than that, it works great and I would not go without having one. I also highly recommend the protection plan which allows you to save recording. This feature is a must have.

Exactly as expected, great smart doorbell!
The Ring wired video doorbell is exactly as advertised and what we expected out of the Ring doorbell. The motion detection and notification is ideal for when you are home or away. The video quality is excellent. The phone app interface is easy for all levels of personal technology experience. Your doorstep is at your fingertips at all times! Note that this doorbell does not ring your existing doorbell chime noise, however, it “rings” your smart device hook up (our home is Alexa), or a Ring Chime setup. The installation is simple when you already have a doorbell wired. That was my situation so my review is based upon having existing wiring for the Ring doorbell. I would definitely recommend the Ring Doorbell wired (no need for batteries) to any homeowner. Peace of mind is a great feeling!
Great features
I love it first because it was easy to install I did it myself. Secondly the audio and video quality is awesome and third because of the night vision which is a great feature. Now that I have installed I really feel secure and my wife is so happy because her package are safe.
Love our new Ring video doorbell!
We’re not overly technology savvy and don’t have many smart devices in our home yet, so we were a little nervous about installing and using this Ring video doorbell. My husband struggled a bit with the installation instructions and syncing to our phones/apps – probably took him about an hour (should have only taken him 15 minutes haha) to install the doorbell and apps with set-up on two phones. And we’re still getting familiar with all of the doorbell’s features, but so far, we love it! The video is crisp with a broad view of our neighborhood – we can clearly see the six houses across the street from us. The two-way talk is clear. The motion detection picks up everything, I may have to turn that off as I get notifications constantly! :) We paired with Alexa to get the doorbell to ring on Alexa (since this model does not work with our existing doorbell). We do a lot of online shopping due to COVID, so having the Ring video doorbell makes me feel more secure about the packages being delivered. I also feel more safe when answering the door now that I can view and talk to the person at the door before opening it. And to view/answer the door when I'm not home is super cool!

Ring Video Doorbell Wired
I received, Ring Video Doorbell Wired. It took me a bit to get it up and running. The instructions were clear up until it comes to the Doorbell section. I think the instructions could better clarify that the system doesn't work with existing doorbell ringer itself. I ran into a problem with the wires from old door bell and had to find a different 18 volt source. Once I did that the rest was a breeze. It works beautifully and was easy to setup on my phone. I feel safer with the security ring system brings my family. I highly recommend this product to every family for added protection for their home.
It worked with a doorbell buzzer from the 80’s.
This thing is magic. I have other ring products that I love and was excited about adding another to the setup. This time, I was going to install the video doorbell on the equipment that originally came with the house. I was sure that I would need to upgrade the doorbell or transformer but when I checked everything, it looked like it might just work with a simple swap and it did. Not only was the installation easy (under 10 min) the thing that really caught me off guard was that it changed the way the buzzer sounded. The original tone was a buzz that would sound as long as you held the button down. The new sound was a melodic chime, I never knew that the buzzer could make a different sound. Installation was quick, cost is right (msrp), and connecting the doorbell to the app was easy with the help of the QR code located on the product or the card. This one of the easiest and most fun smart home upgrades that anyone can do. Subscription costs: You can use this product without a subscription. The doorbell does basic functions such as sending notifications and allowing you to interact (notifications you’ve selected, you can see live video and talk) with visitors with other smart devices like a smart phone, Alexa displays, etc. However, if you want to record and retrieve video and photos, you need to upgrade to the subscription. Given the cost of the device, I’m ok with the subscription service because they have a pricing scheme that increases in value the more devices you have and I have a number of devices. You can buy a subscription for a single device or unlimited devices. For me, this is absolutely a ‘buy’ type of product.
Very easy to use and super clear camera
I loved my 1st Ring doorbell, we had the 1st version and after receiving this one, I couldn’t wait to put it up. This doorbell has enhanced features, better HD camera that provides crystal clear images. It also have a clear 2way speaker, so you can have dialogue with any visitors even when you are at home. Best thing is...It’s WIRED so no need to remove and recharge. it is super easy to install, my husband had it installed within 10 minutes. Some of the great features include but not or limited to Night vision, live views and motion sensors. I really like the fact that you can set the distance you would like the motion to extend to. So your ring doorbell can be as sensitive to motion as you’d like. Overall we’ve had both this system and Nest and by far ring Ring is our favorite.
Ring Doorbell Wired
This Wired Ring Doorbell works really well. It is easy to install and setup. We installed it where we had an old doorbell previously. The nighttime picture is not as clear as the daytime but still good if someone is somewhat close to the doorbell camera. The audio is clear both ways.
