Fingerprint technology isn’t there.
Purchased three years ago, has been replaced under warranty. Fingerprint SUCKS. Does not like cooler weather,in Florida so it’s not that cold I managed a security system for a medium sized airport,for over thirty years, so I thought the Halo would be a good idea.????????

Worst lock I ever owned. Fingerprint reader never was consistant. Avoid aggravation and pass on this lock

Great looking and works great with phone and app.
I purchased this lock for ease of finger print use. Can’t use if dry hands interfere. Didn’t want screen or buttons. I have installed the touchscreen HALO. We will have to wait and see???

Best Deadbolt Ever!
Kwikset totally knocked it out of the park with this deadbolt! It works so well, is very responsive, and connects to my Google home assistant flawlessly. Install went very fast – the instructions were clear and concise. The only problem I ran into was that our 1960’s door was slightly too thin! We used shims for now because we are replacing this door in the next few weeks. But if you have an older door, check that out before you purchase. What is weird is our previous deadbolt was a Kwikset touchscreen lock so I didn’t even consider this might be a problem. Your door should be 1-3/4” to 2”, and they sell a kit for doors thicker than that. Setup went flawlessly with the app, connected to my Wi-Fi, and got my family members’ fingerprints all set up with the lock. I then connected to my Google Home and can now lock and unlock my door with my voice! My favorite part is the fingerprint reader works so well – we have had zero issues with it recognizing our fingerprints. It works better than our cell phone fingerprint reader! It also locks and unlocks instantly once you touch the pad, no wait and no delay. You can store up to 50 different fingerprints in your account. The only thing is if you want to use this lock to let in a pet sitter, guest, or handyperson, you would need to meet with them in person to set up their fingerprint first. There is no way to add someone’s fingerprint remotely, so this probably would not be a good lock for an AirBnb where someone needs access and you aren’t there with them. Love love love it!!!

Easy installation, excellent experience
This home improvement project had me walking away exaggerating my skills as a locksmith. Setup is quick and easy with a guided installation through the app. The visuals are detailed and tailored to the particulars of the door (established by a series of multiple choice questions). Plus, all of the individual components come organized in numbered boxes, making the parts easy to identify and locate with each subsequent direction. You even have the option to use the key it comes with or rekey the lock so that it works with your existing key. The completed look is aesthetically pleasing. The design, shape and bronze finish are beautiful and polished. I have been using the lock for a few weeks and thus far I am impressed that it works consistently. Moreover, I love the ease of not having to search for my keys, confident that I always have a means of access on my person whether it's key, fingerprint, or phone. The effortlessness extends to locking the door; when exiting I can just tap the scanner to lock (anyone can do this, it does not have to be a registered print). Most importantly, the ease does not compromise on my feelings of safety and security. Apart from the device itself, the thing I enjoy most about the experience is the app. It is straightforward and helps keep the details organized. I can set up profiles for 50 users with multiple recorded prints per user. It also allows me to tailor the access of individual profiles by hours, date, or weekday and time. It allows me to check on the status of the lock remotely and adjust accordingly. It also maintains an activity log and identifies whose fingerprint was used to open/lock the door. The app can also be used to pair with Google Assistant and to set up an auto-lock feature. If that wasn't enough, the app includes a battery icon that informs me of how much battery life is left on the lock. Initially, I was frustrated by the alert on the lock anytime the door was locked/unlocked, but found that the chime was easily silenced by an option in the app. The only issue I encountered was an inability to register my son's fingerprint. Granted, his fingers are small and don't cover the scanner in its entirety. Presumably, as he grows, this problem will be eliminated. Truth be told, this is not my first foray into the world of smart locks. However, this is so easily integrated into the existing setup that it is hands down the best experience I've had with a product of this variety and would be the first brand I'd recommend.

Nice lock
I recieved this really nice Kwikset Halo touch fingerprint lock in the mail and it is the best security lock I have ever had. It’s finger print feature is absolutely the best and will hold up to 100 fingerprints and also has a key lock for added security in case something goes wrong with the touch pad. It is really made well and we love the black color. You can also operate the lock from the app which is a very nice feature for safety. It has a rekey feature to prevent from breaking. It is also pick resistance from thief’s trying to pick the lock. This is a very nice product and will definitely use again if needed.It is also very easy to install.

Amazing Lock
This Halo Touch Contemporary Fingerprint Wi-Fi Enabled Smart Lock is absolutely amazing! My family loves all the smart products but this one is my favorite! I no longer have to worry about forgetting my keys or locking myself out of the house becuae it opens with my fingerprints. I love how I can set up specific profiles for my family members and only they can get in the house but the app also sends me a notification letting me know who entered my home. I can also lock my home from anywhere. This is the best invention of all time!

Nice lock and great features!!
I installed this Halo Touch Smart Lock about two weeks ago and I am loving the convenience and security of it. It was easy to install and only took 10-15 minutes. The parts were in boxes, numbered step by step and the app also shows the steps to install. The app downloaded pretty fast and setup was quick and easy. It did take about 15 minutes for me to connect the bluetooth, but the fingerprint process took less than a minute per person. I really like that I can use my fingerprint not only to unlock the door, but also lock it from the outside. I like that I don't have to worry about the power or wifi going out, because keys are also included. One of my favorite things about this lock, is that it can be locked from a distance. I tested it from three miles away and again from fifteen miles away, I was able to lock the door both times through the app. If I forget to lock the door or don't remember if I did, I can check the app and give myself peace of mind. Another of my favorite things, is the app shows lock history. I know when the door was locked and who used their fingerprint to unlock it. This Halo Touch Smart Lock doesn't only look nice, it gives me a sense of security.

Easy to use
I just installed the Kwikset Halo touch fingerprint smart lock. Very easy and quick to install. The satin nickel finish and shape are very attractive. The features are great. You can have up to 50 users. Load the app on your phone and your ready to go. I like that I can lock or unlock it remotely wherever I’m at. Also goes with a traditional key. I like that I do not have to remember a code, just out my finger on it and it opens. I highly recommend this.

Simply and Secure
After having the Kwikset Halo touch smart lock installed for the last few days, I thought it would be a good time to write a review about our experience with it. From the time that we opened the box, it was a simple and rather pleasant experience getting it installed and then secured. Note: Our door was pre-drilled. The lock has a guide for the exact requirements to drill out a solid door. I followed the included instructions and started by removing the old deadbolt we had in place. This was easy. From there, pay attention to the distance the doorhandle hole is away from the edge of the door as this will determine which configuration you need for deadbolt itself as it's adjustable. I thought I would have to modify the current drilled hole until I realized this. Once I got the deadbolt in place, it was a simple matter of installing the external finger-print reading side of the lock and running the cable back inside. After this, it's held in place by a mounting plate that the interior unit connects to. All in all, it was a far simpler installation that I expected it to be. When we initially tested it, it was getting stuck and jamming. Try adjusting the loosening and tightening screws on the deadbolt (edge of the door) and see if that helps. We were able to get it to close and open within the Kwikset app without fail after this. One other thing, use the supplied strikeplate and make sure to run the supplied screws into the wood of the door frame. This will give you far better security and performance. 2 pieces of duct-tape can help hold it in place while you drill. Finally, the app itself was easy to get installed and configured. After pairing the lock via bluetooth, the app updated the firmware on the lock and we were ready to register fingerprints. Overall, it's been a great experience. I'm interested in seeing how long the batteries last. It's nice to know that when we're in town we can make sure our door at home is locked!
