Love it. I use this for me and my 6yo. Super small and light weight. Could fit in a large pocket. It’s easy to navigate. I love that you can look up words just by holding down your finger on a word. As my daughter gets older and starts reading on her own, I’ll be able to monitor her reading progress.

Best purchase of 2025. I bought this kids kindle for myself because I wanted a small, lightweight kindle. This fits the bill perfectly and is small enough to fit into all my bags and even some pockets. The case it comes with is so cute and I didn't even feel the need to buy a new one to swap out. I read a lot outside and my phone always had a glare but the kindle is perfect!

The first thing I like about this tablet is its lightweight and waterproof design, making it small enough for my child to carry. The best feature is the six-month Amazon Kids subscription, which provides free access to download books and audiobooks. It includes parental controls, and the books my child receives are based on his age. There are no ads, games, or videos. The battery life is excellent—one single charge can last for weeks. It also comes with a two-year warranty, and I have the ability to monitor my son’s reading progress. Additionally, under settings, I can access my library and have the chance to read as well.

Great for Kids and Parents!
I got the Kindle for Kids for my 5- and 3-year-old, and they absolutely love it! It fits perfectly in their little hands, making it easy for them to read picture books and listen to audiobooks. I also appreciate the adjustable screen brightness, which helps make bedtime reading more comfortable. Just like a regular Kindle, the battery life is so great and lasts DAYS! Another great feature is that I can download my own books onto it, so I can use it too! Plus, the cover is super cute, which is a nice bonus. It’s a fantastic device that’s both kid-friendly and versatile for parents. Highly recommend!
Perfect product
Wonderful to have. Always owned Amazon devices and the kindles are our favorite. Excited for my 8 year old to use it! Durable, I’d definitely add a protector or case

Perfect for encouraging reading anywhere, anytime
The setup was so easy. It has a really good battery life, lasting for weeks with a partial recharge for us. We’ve found the screen bright enough and readability on the screen is excellent. The cover is cute, fits securely to the screen, and has been protecting the screen well. The kindle may be a little heavy for younger children but the actual size is pretty perfect to carry around. The kindle holds up to being dropped—we’ve tested that a few times, so I believe the durability claims! There is an awesome selection of books and they seem to download fairly quickly (I’m sure that is dependent on internet speeds to a degree). But not all of the books are well-formatted for kindle—in books with pictures, the pictures are on separate pages from the words, even though there is space below the picture for words, like in the physical book. I also wish there was an option to change the screen to color for certain books. I’ve found navigating between the screens to download , view library, and read to be a little confusing, and my daughter certainly cannot do it on her own yet, but we are working on it—like anything else! Having said that, the ability to travel around with so many books in such compact way is awesome
Super convenient!
Really like how compact and sturdy this kindle is specially when the little ones have it. The battery lasts a long time and the fact that there’s no need to carry a bunch of books around is a plus.
Small but decent
My children are still slightly young to read on their own but I was so excited to try this kindle! Even though it gave the product specs when ordering, the kindle is significantly smaller than I expected! It is also a bit slow and lags. I made sure I have the most updated software but it still is a bit delayed. The case is super cute and perfect for protection. The parental controls are very easy and finding the book you want is effortless. You can even download adult books on your profile to keep them separate from the kids. If you’re looking for a quaint item to keep in the car for the kids, this would be great!
