The Tripp Lite® by Eaton® U209-000-R USB A-Male to RS-232 DB9-Male Serial Adapter Cable allows you to connect a 9-pin RS-232 serial device to a computer or laptop with a USB Type-A port. It connects modems, PDUs, network switches, console servers and other serial devices at data transfer speeds up to 230 Kbps, which is twice as fast as a built-in serial port. No external power is required, and the compact 5-ft. cable tucks away conveniently in your backpack or laptop bag for easy traveling. The U209-000-R blocks disruptive EMI (electromagnetic interference) and RFI (radio frequency interference) line noise that can disturb your network equipment and inflict hardware damage or data loss. Premium double-shielding eliminates crosstalk and helps your connected components perform better and last longer. It works with most major operating systems, including Windows® 2000 through 11, macOS® 10.6 through 12.4, and Linux® Redhat 7.3, 8.0 and 9.0.
