OpenRun vs AirPods
Before I got my OpenRuns I used AirPod Pros with transparency mode turned on while running. After a month with the OpenRuns I have yet to use my AirPods for a run. There is just something so freeing not having anything in your ears and I do not miss the occasional drip of sweat getting in my ear. The sound quality is exactly what I expected, perfect to hear your music but also what’s going on around you. For podcast I do seem to need to turn them way up in order to make out what they’re talking about. Overall the OpenRuns have not disappointed me for my 20 runs and about 15 hours. And the battery is excellent I am on charge 2 and it is still telling me “battery is high” when I turn it on.

Farm tested.
I rate them a one because you advertise 8 hour run time on the ShoKZ Open but I’m consistently getting a little less than 5 hours and they are dead. I will try them another week to be sure and then I will contact customer service. Thanks

Open run minis
I wish I would've tried these a long time ago. I have openrun, openrun pro 2 I dont like and open run mini. These are now my favorite. I like how they hug my neck better. So when I lay back for a little bit they dont push off my ears. These are perfect and the only ones ill buy anymore

Helpful Hints on Shokz headphones
Very good quality sound. Can also still hear what’s going on around you since your ears are not blocked. Keep your instructions handy. I took a picture to keep on my phone. I suggest you mark where the light will be seen since there is no way to know when the light is off.

Second Pair
I've had a pair of Mini's since before the brand name change (2021) which still work great, I just wanted a duplicate pair to have one at home and one in my office. The only time they're not comfortable is when I want to lay horizontal on my side, as that's the only time the weight of my head pushes into the headphone. I also got my folks each a pair of the OpenRun (2022 Xmas). My mom wears hers every day, and on one side/over-ear-piece, the rubber cover is peeling away (June 2024...we think it relates to her sunscreen/sweat while gardening). They still work otherwise.

My third pair in six years!
Simply love them! I wear these daily. I get ear infections with inner ear headphones. These are a blessing! Also, I can take calls while driving without putting people on speaker and still hear if there is a signal behind it in front of me! I have tried knock offs and they don’t fit. Sound crappy and horrible battery. Shokz have all day battery, sound great, noise canceling for calls and the mini’s fit my small head!

This is my second pair of Open Run headphones
This is my second pair of Open Run headphones, the first pair lasted about 5 years before finally giving out after hard, almost daily use. I have loved them for the ability to be able to hear surrounding sounds while riding, hiking, or even while in the office and don't hesitate to recommend them to everyone that is active in areas that require the ability to hear outside sounds. Bass is a bit lacking, but they are excellent for listening to podcasts or talk radio.

Excellent replacement for my original AfterShokz
Had a pair of old AfterShokz for years finally stop working. Got a new OpenRun pair to replace them. Great replacement, a bit lighter and nicer than the old ones. While I do like the magnetic charger, I kind of wish I didn't need to pack a proprietary charger for trips, the old mini USB were less fancy, but easy to replace. But, that's a minor quibble, overall they're even better than the old ones.

Good Buy!
I bought these for myself after completing the Garmin Shockz Challenge and used the discount code. My previous pair were a cheap brand that I wanted to see if I like this headphone because I have an ear piercing that makes it hard to wear certain headphones. I was really pleased with the directions about measuring my head to know if the smaller pair would be a better fit for me. Super Simple and fit better but there are only basic colors like black and white for the smaller size (????). However, sound quality of these are nice! The smaller size fits my head great! I’m also really impressed by how the material of the headphones feel. I’ve even been using the light grey soft bag them came in. Really eager to keep using them for an upcoming race instead of just casual runs!
