Tried the JBL Vibe Beam 2 - Here's My Take
So I picked up the JBL Vibe Beam 2 earbuds last week after my old pair finally died on me, and I've gotta say, I'm pretty impressed so far! The sound quality is definitely a step up from my previous buds. That JBL bass really comes through nicely without overwhelming everything else. Been listening to my workout playlist and you can feel those low notes hit just right. The overall sound is clear and punchy - not audiophile level obviously, but great for everyday listening. The active noise cancelling is actually better than I expected at this price point. It doesn't completely block out everything like my friend's premium buds, but it does a solid job on my commute blocking out most of the train noise. The Smart Ambient feature is super useful too - I can quickly tap to hear announcements or chat with someone without taking the earbuds out. Speaking of taps - the touch controls on these are surprisingly good! Each earbud responds really well to taps without me having to aggressively poke at my ears like with my last pair. Left for volume down, right for up, double tap to pause/play, etc. The functionality is great and I haven't had many accidental triggers even during workouts. Battery life has been impressive - I've been using them for about 3-4 hours a day and only charged the case once in the past week. The quick charge feature saved me once already when I realized they were low before heading to the gym - 10 minutes of charging gave me enough juice for my workout. The fit is comfortable enough for extended wear. I swapped to the medium-sized tips and they stay put during runs without causing ear fatigue. Got caught in a light rain yesterday and they kept working fine, so the water resistance checks out. The multi-point connection is a game-changer for me since I switch between my phone and laptop all day. No more disconnecting and reconnecting constantly! Only minor complaints: the case is a bit bulkier than I'd like in my pocket, and the voice prompts are helpful but occasionally startle me with their volume.

Look elsewhere
I bought these earbuds with high hopes. I can't get them to stay in my ears for the life of me. Even sitting perfectly still they pop out, so I can't even attempt to use them at the gym. Because they dont fit regardless of what silicone piece is used, the sound quality suffers.

Survived a Bus
I bought this for my boyfriend and he is very clumsy. So when he opened the box, the case flew out into the new york busy street. A bus went on top of the case and the whole force of a bus ran over the case... and it still works. My boyfriend has been using it for three weeks and nothing is wrong with it. The build quality is so good.

Disappointed
I have the previous model and honestly I was disappointed by the upgrade or version 2 the earbud gummy are way smaller and keep slipping out of my ear and overall they're not loud enough even after customizing the eq on the app

They're just ok
Sound quality is good. Mic with only one earbud in is below average. Earbuds fall out even after changing tip size. Wouldn't purchase again.

Great auality and sound for the price
Overall I love these earbuds. The size is perfect to fit in my pocket when I dont want to wear them but still have them with me, and easy to pop open and wear. They open easily and close up securely. The sound is very good to be as small as they are. The bass is not the best of the best but very good for some daily use earbuds, and you can tune it more with the app to have it set just where you want it. The case charges super quick and holds the battery for a while. I also like that they have a USB C port so theres no need for a special cable.

Great sound, needs minor tweaks.
The vibe 2 earbuds are fantastic listening devices. First, I wanna talk about the sound quality. They definitely deliver. They have a premium sound with rich full bass, and crisp mids and highs. I was surprised as they are easily on par with other earbuds I’ve used. Also, they offer a decent noise cancelling setting which I figured out how to access easily without using the manual. They also offer clarity with outer sound amplification which was not as impressive. The fit is great as it comes with different canal fittings. The battery life of the buds are incredible. They lasted a very good amount of time. On the other hand, one issue I had was connectivity. Once I paired to my phone, I listened for a bit and then re-docked the vibe 2’s in their charging case. When I grabbed a single bud to listen to I heard the prompt voice say it was pairing again. They did not stay paired though no other device was paired between uses. I then re-paired and re-docked again. After that I put both buds in and only one worked, so I repeated the pairing process and they worked fine after. That was somewhat inconvenient. Last, I would prefer a docking case with a top as this case is open. Overall, I was won over by the sound quality but I would change a few things about them.

Great buds with extended play
The biggest positive I noticed immediately is the extended battery life compared to other ear buds. In my case they lasted 3-4 hours longer and the case also charged them multiple times. Great sound quality, I think the noise cancelling was not quite as great as some others I have tried.

JBL Vibe Beam 2 now with active noise canceling
The JBL Vibe Beam 2 are great earbuds. The sound quality is well balanced and can produce crisp highs, clear vocals and deep bass. They offer an impressive bang for your buck value with a ton of features via JBL Headphones app which is available for IOS and Android. Call quality is loud and clear. I called my wife who said she would rate the call quality an 8 out of 10. The ANC does a good job at eliminating ambient noise. The ambient aware feature is very important should you need to hear your surroundings. Touch gestures can be customized for each earbud individually. The relax sound feature is great for listening to nature like sounds. The eq is a must as you can tune in the way you like to hear your music. Find my buds is very useful should you misplace the earbuds. The app warns you to make sure to remove the earbuds as the tone emitted is very loud. For being budget-friendly, they have a plethora of features. I highly recommend these for budget conscious shoppers. Here are some of the options for each feature: Ambient Sound Control: Active Noise Cancellation, Ambient Aware, Talk Thru. Smart Audio & Video: Automatically adjusts between Audio Mode and Video Mode. Gestures: Customizable gesture control for left and right earbuds. EQ: 10-band customizable EQ as well as customizable factory presets. Left/Right Sound Balance: Adjust left and right balance. Max Volume Limiter: Adjust the limit of the maximum volume. Voice Aware: Control the volume you hear of your own voice during phone calls. Relax Sound: Offers 5 preset ambient sounds like ocean waves, night critters, fireplace crackles, birds chirping and river water running. Find My Buds: Plays a loud tone to each individual earbud. Power Saving: Auto Standby and Auto Power Off, 30 min, 1 hour, 2 hours. Pros: Affordable, sound quality, noise canceling, ambient aware, custom eq settings, battery life, Cons: Could be a bit louder (perhaps an update fix)
