So far I am very happy with this printer. The setup was very easy and I did set it up as networked (wired) printer. This printer does not have Wi-Fi as I knew when I purchased it. I prefer wired/networked printers anyway which I believe to be more secure. I setup all my Wi-Fi devices with a MAC filtering, hence every Wi-Fi device needs to be registered. So much easier to use networked device that does not rely on Wi-Fi; faster and secure. Hence the need for a Wi-Fi printer is really a moot point. The printing is fast and the printer comes out of standby mode very fast too. I can still print from my iPhone because that device connects wireless to my home network (and yes it is MAC enabled through my wireless router). I use Windows 7 on all my machines so maybe that is one of the reasons that setup was so easy. Last week at work we setup a Wi-Fi Canon printer which worked fine on Windows 7 and Mac but could not get it to work on Windows 10. I mention this because I have seen some negative comments about setup of this printer which may be a Windows and not a printer problem.

I love this printer. The print quality is excellent for both color and grayscale. It also uses small amounts of ink as we are still on the starter cartridges that came with the printer and are a few thousand pages in so far as it is being used in a 5-person work group. I also love the duplex (2-sided) printing feature. It is the only way to go as we have large reports that print out at 50+ pages and we have to print out multiple reports each week, it will definitely save us on paper. Also, who wants to carry around a huge 50-page stack of papers when you can print the same report on 25 pages? From sleep to finish while printing the 50-page reports takes only a little over a minute, so our workers spend less time waiting when printing multiple large reports. I would highly recommend to anyone on the fence. The print quality is as good as some slightly older commercial printers.

Nice printer. Couple of issues though. I could not get the printer to function via USB. Eventually installed via ethernet cable. Another issue I have is that I cannot print labels, cardstock or photo paper. They get stuck in the machine. If anyone has any tips on how to correct these issues, I am all ears. As long as you are printing on letter sized paper you can get it through, otherwise it jams.

I got this for our laboratory to duplex print journal articles in color, and everyone likes it. Color accuracy is important to us because we need to print our figure sets before articles are submitted to a journal to ensure they accurately depict the data in the article. No complaints from the group (and they are not the type to hold back if they dont like something).

this thing is a beast. HP knows how to make printers. definitely go for the Duplex model if you have any need to print both sides. amazing quality and speed. I have a bit of a printer collection, by far my flagship now. Im impressed. The only drawback that I can see is the cost of the toner cartridges, hopefully a 3rd party will eventually come out with some that are compatible.

I bought this from Antonline through Amazon. It arrived, box looked good, no apparent issues. I have owned it 10 days, and it still wont print black ink. I have spent hours walking through the troubleshooting recommendations on my own, and hours on the phone with HP support. Their conclusion is that it needs to be replaced. Antonlines return policy is strict. Now I must wait (no phone number!!!) two days to see if they will even honor the replacement of this machine. I believe that this machine is an anomaly and that very few HP printers are defective. My last three lasted years and years with no issues. I just got a lemon. But dont buy through Antonline!!!

I wanted to like this printer. But I am having a relatively minor issue with it, and need support. Options are a charged phone call, or a chat that never responds. Very disappointed. EDIT: Once I figured out (no thanks to HP support) how to fix the problem, I am very happy with the printer. In fact I love it. Im using it in a home office, combination of Macs and Windows machines printing to it. Sometimes I need to create fairly large printouts so the speed and duplex features are great. So I am upping it from one start to 3. If my initial support experience had been reasonable, it would be 5 stars. But for something in this price range, you need confidence that you can get some level of help if you need it. SECOND EDIT: Almost a year and a half into owning the printer. Have been very happy with it. Wife and I both use it when working from home, and kids use it for school. Very easy to use in very flexible ways, at least for us. Only blemish was initial awful support experience. Upping to 4 stars (not 5 just because of the support problem), definitely recommend for home office use if you need to occasionally crank out reasonable volumes of paper. Probably overkill if you never print more than a couple pages. Although, at least compared to our last printer, when we do that we definitely appreciate the fast startup time.

Easy is good. Very fast output and quiets down quickly after it is finished printing (unlike my old Oki laser printer). No issues with Windows 10, and it works fine with Linux too but took a bit more persuasion. I enabled the duplex option in the Gnome setup applet without success. Once I changed it in the the CUPS applet (system-config-printer) it started using the duplex mode as expected.

This is a GREAT printer. The only downside for me was setting it up as a wireless printer. They, meaning somebody, make it extremely complicated and I finally just plugged it in to an old AirPort Extreme and print "wirelessly" through that.

The printer itself is really pretty nice. It prints great and really fast. The downside - the tone to refill this baby is CRAZY expensive. Even on Amazon you can expect to pay upwards of $800 for four new cartridges.
