The system performs as it should, however I am concerned with the heat that is generated. Basically you need the cooler boost turned on at all times when playing modern games. Even then, the keyboard gets a bit uncomfortable to the touch. This seems to be the problem with the small form factor gaming laptops. You are paying a premium for the size, but plan on wearing a headset if you want to hear the game. I do not think I have run into a laptop that the keyboard got physically hot under load since the days when macbooks had dedicated graphics cards in them. Just my opinion but I think gaming laptops should stay at a size they can be properly cooled. I doubt very much this laptop will last as long as it should with these temps long term. Could a re-passed job possibly help, maybe but you should not need to crack open a new laptop right out of the box.

(Review in progress) Uninstall Remove Program --> Intel Optane memory pinning extension. Leads to unusually high cpu and power usage on Windows explorer (resource hog, as detected in task manager). Another classic case of software over-engineering !! No good Intel. Anti-virus (norton?) - I also heard this causes slowdowns. I would recommend uninstalling it and using your own AntiVirus software. I use Webroot SecureAnywhere and no issues there. CPU gets very hot, probably throttling considering its showing 95 celcius and only 60% use in Assassins Creed Odyssey. I heard some people repaste and or downvolt. More info (i.e. youtube tutorial) on this would be appreciated.

First and foremost this is the fastest computer I have ever used. Full stop. I ran a 3D Mark Firestrike be bemchmark as soon as I got it and it was faster than 94% of all of the computers that have taken it. The downside is the fans are loud. Really loud. I have tamed themquite a bit by repasting with IC Diamond and undervolting the cpu, but such powerful no hardware is gonna make some noise. This is completely worth it to me to run Shadow of the Tomb Raider maxed out at at 130fps.

Well, I havent had high end computer like this one. My review will be newish to computer life, I havent gotten a chance to bring it anywhere yet. One thing that I have gotten was the screen bleeding once screen is dark. Couple spots. I didnt pay any attention to it, all it matters is how it looks when Im playing game. And display is very phenomenal. It is not any type of "sync" (ie v-sync, g-sync, etc etc) so if you want to play with high FPS, make sure your "sync" is off. And underthrottle your cpu, definitely do this or itll run stupid hot on your cpu. All features into this laptop so far works as intended. Will update if anything else happens.

After months of going back and forth between the major brands trying to pick out my next laptop I finally landed on the 2080 GE75 and Im so incredibly happy with this decision. - I was worried about the aesthetics as I wanted something powerful but didnt scream "Gamer", however when bringing this laptop home and unboxing I was very happy with the real-life feel and look. Pics and videos online dont really do justice to how premium this feels and looks. It is rather thin, I was prepared for something far bulkier. - Cooling has been terrific, Im running a -128 undervolt on cache and core and keeping a very staple 3.9ghz on all cores pegging out at mid 80c on cpu. GPU is currently overclocked and maxing high 70s / low 80s. - Performance is wicked, overall Firestrike score of ~21000. The 144hz screen is certainly taken advantage of I couldnt be happier with this decision, this is my first MSI laptop and Im a huge fan now.

Probably my favorite gaming laptop I’ve purchased. Pros, Great 144hz panel. Great performance. Full fledged RTX 2080. Great Keyboard for gaming and typing. Thinner than the Titan. Cons, Runs a little hot under load. Still a big laptop. Battery life is short. All in all this thing is perfect for me and I’d absolutely recommended this to anybody looking for a new gaming laptop.

Received and unboxed today. Cant believe I bought an RTX 2080 laptop for $2499 with such a great specs. I plan to buy Rift S when it arrives and enjoy this amazing laptop even more. So far no problem at all and I got +300 FPS on CSGO, Hitman, and Mafia 3 with ultra settings. Will update the review if there was a problem. Only thing that I dont like is the 2-pound charger! The laptop itself is pretty light-weight given its screen size.

I bought this rig for the NVidia RTX 2080 video card. did not see anything about it having an integrated Intel card that is awful. took lots of tweaking to get games to use the RTX2080. Would not buy again if I knew this
