Junk. Crashed after one week. Before that it ran very slow. I bought to only surf the internet. Audio was horrible for YouTube clips. It kept making a clicking noise, unit I to stopped running the pre-installed virus scanning software. I love Lenovo. I use Lenovo at work. Usually theyre very robust design. But this is a very low end model. Poor mechanical design. I would recommend buying a Chromebook next time. Microsoft Windows is too slow and buggy. Microsoft is too big and power hungry to run on such a low end machine. It broke after one week and wont boot up. Worst part is I cant return it. It has all my personal information on it now. I thought I was saving $300 by buying this. Instead I lost $400.

If you want to waste money and spend months going in circles, go ahead and buy this. Otherwise, steer clear of anything from Lenovo. This has been my experience so far: I got this laptop in in July, and it worked decent until about a month later, when the words started changing colors randomly. It was weird but nothing I couldn’t live with. Until the screen started to turn green, like in the picture, making it impossible to work. On top of that- the cd Drive completely came out! (It was supposed to be screwed in but It just wasn’t.) so I sent it back October 6th, (I had to pay $53.99 to ship it to them, and they refused to pay for it, even though it wasn’t my fault) and they claimed it was repaired. I got it back on the 17th of October, but I was out of town so I couldn’t try it until just over a week later. Well the cd Drive had been fixed, but the screen still turned green and I couldn’t use it! So I sent it back October 30 (this time they paid for shipping). I even thought to ask if it wasn’t fixed this time, what do I do? The man I talked to said that then they would escalate the case so I could get a refund. I get it back several weeks later. It works fine for about 10 minutes, and BOOM, green screen again, and I can’t work. So I called them and they finally escalated the case (after having to nearly beg to talk to someone higher), and they give me a case manager. Their headquarters are in Hong Kong, and there is literally no way to contact anyone other than the basic call center, and then the only other people to talk to are case managers. His name is Greg, and he emails me and offers a replacement, but I just want my money back, so he asks for proof of purchase. I send him some, and he doesn’t reply for a week. So I call and email- nothing. But I found a chat on Lenovo where it took me over an hour to get to message someone. They said they’d remind my case manager, and I finally hear back from him and he said the links I sent him didn’t work, so I sent screenshots instead. It has now been 6 days and I haven’t heard back from him. All of this is to say that buying from Lenovo will do nothing but make you lose money.

Bought in July. 7 months later, it died. Warranty is this: send it in. In 9-10 days they send it back. The warranty doesnt let you take it into a Best Buy or someplace. The O/S stopped loading and diagnostics fail to work. I cant even reset the O/S. I suspect a h/w failure. I dont care b/c I have already decided not to be bothered sending it in. I can buy cr@ppy laptops used for $100 or less and they are probably as reliable if not moreso than Lenovo machines. For $150, fine. Make sure you back up everything all the time. But for $350 its a rip-off. Do yourself a favor: get a used laptop off craigslist and a new 1-2 TB ext hard drive and set up backup to it. Then run it until it breaks. Then get another one, restore your stuff, and do it again. Rinse and repeat. Or spend like $1000 for a laptop that wont break but that you are sure to drop or your cat will pee on it or whatnot. Really, these things are practically disposable. They should be a lot cheaper. In fact I should chuck them and stick to my phone. It has more RAM and CPU power anyway.

I am truly enjoying my laptop after one month. I use it for streaming with the Elgato device and it doesnt miss a beat. You cant beat the price for what you are getting with this computer. Love the graphics when I replay my videos or watch other streamers. The quad core makes it run so much smoother than any other computer I have owned. If you need a decent computer that runs quality this is it, especially if you are starting out. I did plenty of research for 6 months on what type of laptop I needed and you are not going to beat the price even through Lenovo themselves.

At first when I bought the laptop it was running great. After about a month it started slowing down extremely. It has a software that predicts what you are going to do next to tey to optimize your performance. Delete it. Also the brightness is horrible, i was trying to do work today at the ballfield and you can not turn up the brightness enough to see if tou were to take it outside.

I am really satisfied with my purchase. The laptop is the perfect size, it’s not too heavy and it’s slim.
