The worse purchase I have ever made, the mouse pad and keyboard does not work at all. After many attempts to have it working and restoring the laptop it still does not work. I contacted HP and although their customer service was excellent for the south american and Caribbean department, HP in the United States was no help. The item is still under warranty but they are not willing to have it fixed unless I use my own money to send it to them although there is an HP outlet mere hours away from my home. Very disappointed in HP

Good price for the performance. I needed a decent PC for running Windows10 Applications at home where I could access the internet via WiFi and run various electronics through Applications that run through the PCs USB ports. The only thing that I had to add was a Bluetooth Dongle so that I could use a BT Mouse.

Was looking for an inexpensive laptop for my 84 year old mother-in-law to use to check e mail and use the internet and chose this laptop due to: 1. price $250 for what was a couple of years ago would be considered a fast processor 2. HP a name brand 3. had everything you need - enough memory, enough ports, a DVD - to do an adequate job I set it up for her and kept it simple and it is working out great By the way, was NOT loaded with Bloatware, only a trial subscription Virus Program also, had to remove HP Audio as it kept popping up and freezing up the laptop So,again for $250 you get a laptop that is more than adequate

About this HP laptop for my grandson. Hes in the sixth grade and the school requires all students have the computer. I shopped long and hard for a computer that was reasonably priced and would meet or exceed my grandsons needs. I decided upon the HP because it appeared to be the most cost-effective device available. Its been about two and half months since I gave the computer to my grandson and he appears to be very pleased with the computers performance. Im hoping he will get three or four years use on the computer before to buy another one for him.

I bought this laptop new at the end of March because I needed a laptop to finish out the semester. It worked great for one day, of course. Then, after the weekend, I went back to school ready to finish. NOPE. Laptop is slower than the first smart phone trying to run on todays technology. It freezes CONSTANTLY and has to "think". NOW I just have a black screen. It seems that the computer is on, but there is no visual. I dont know what to do and I guess Im out $300. Terrible purchase. I understand that it isnt top of the line, but does that mean it shouldnt work at all? Im completely displeased and will not purchase another HP product due to this issue. Only reason it got a star is so I could leave a review.

So, at first it was pretty good. Although there was a lot of bloatware, which, my fault, I did not take the time to remove as I know enough to be dangerous. Now the last week or so, the only screen that comes up is "preparing for auto fix" .... it stays like that forever. Finally reboot and the same dang thing. I only spent $260 or so... no, I didnt buy the warranty. So now what? I guess Ill take it to a computer repair place and see if they can fix it.

Very happy with my laptop so far, set-up was super easy & quick. I installed a few games to test it out & for the most part it ran them fine. I did have to turn the settings down a bit on some of the more graphic intensive games such as Unravel but after tweaking the settings the game ran fine, my last laptop wouldnt even play the game at all so extremely happy so far. The Sims 4 also runs pretty well & web browsing is also pretty smooth. Overall Im extremely happy with it for general tasks & lite gaming for a 300$ laptop theres not much to complain about but if you want an actual gaming computer this is definitely not it but in this price range one probably shouldnt expect it to be. Would definitely recommend for general tasks & lite gaming for anyone looking for a budget laptop

Great standard laptop. Ive used mine for a couple of months now and Im happy with it. Be advised: this has massive amounts of bloatware factory installed, but anything you buy nowadays has the same issue. Just be prepared to go in and remove it or it will likely slow down performance prematurely. I liked the larger keyboard and the 10-key pad and it has excellent battery life for this price point. For reference, I use this machine mainly for school and work purposes, no heavy gaming or video editing, etc.

It says in the specs that it has bluetooth but there is none on this laptop and the speakers play very very low.

so i bought this about 11 months ago the 1st time around. recently had an incident where the screen was opened too far and the hinge failed. everything still operational but very hard to open/close screen now. so I went to previous purchases and said get another one. if this were a store, id know this was impossible, they wouldnt sell them anymore. however this is amazon, and they sell computer stuff of any age. I didnt just find another that looked the same, it was through the buy again feature. it was a very close match but there are obvious differences to it so I may have to dig deeper and see how close the specs are. things like where the usb ports are located are clearly different indicating it is a different model of some sort. also the hinge is a different style - maybe this is a good thing ?? so far, oob, browsing is a bit slower. im disabling add-ons to improve it. dont remember but may have had to do the same on the last unit. got the protection plan this time for a bit more than $50. well see if we need it this time.
