I am not a techie. This is a great Chromebook. I had looked at the specs for dozens of Chromebooks and this seemed to be the best choice considering I was moving from a desktop PC. I wanted plenty of memory and both SD and USB storage options. I really like being able to use it as a tablet. This thing is fast and relatively easy to learn for an old PC guy. The only problem I have encountered to date is that Excel spreadsheets created on a PC and moved to the Chromebook open in "read only" mode and cannot be changed. Spreadsheets created on the book are fine. The work around was to download another file manage app and use that to open the spreadsheets. I think this a rock solid Chromebook and well worth the $549 paid for it.

Purchased at another retailer who had it on a big sale, at $400 I think its the best deal for the performance on the market. Knocked a start off for the weight, it really is surprisingly dense! Hoping that translates to good build quality though Pros: -Guaranteed updates till 2024 (not something most reviews even mention, watch out for cheaper CBs that wont get support in a year!) -Super fast bootup, app install times, and generally very little lag. Ive used cheaper CBs, they feel slow out of the box...not this Dell! -Battery life has been great so far, much better than the windows laptop were replacing. The charger can be inserted on either side (left or right), and has a neat little light on the end to show its live -Keyboard is great for how shallow it is, Im picky about typing experience and I actually really like it! -Stylus does a good job, I dont have much experience here but it seems to work well -Large bezels mean its easy to pickup and not touch the screen, I think thats a positive Cons: -Some will dislike the weight, picking it up by the keyboard will put some strain on your wrist. If its going to sit on a desk, maybe thats not an issue. My wife was surprised how heavy it was, definitely not a fan -Camera is pretty terrible, low resolution and grainy in low light. Considering the price, and how good cheap cell phone cameras are now...Im disappointed. Was hoping to use it for video calling, itll work but wish it was better -Glossy screens arent my favorite, wish it was matte. In bright rooms you get a lot of reflection, however the screen does look amazing and bright! Very happy with our purchase overall, wouldnt hesitate to recommend. I did hours of research before buying this thing, dont skimp on the processor (yuck celeron)...and check the software support dates!
