Hinge for screen broke fairly quickly - cant use it properly. Dell says warranty doesnt cover physical damage. I didnt drop it or anything - it just broke. Having a broken hinge in a device thats supposed to flip around so you can use it like a tablet seems like something a warranty should cover? Im an editor and I bought four of these for my newsroom, thinking they would be great to use when we read documents since you can make the type bigger and use it like a tablet. One of the laptops wouldnt even turn on when it arrived and Amazon/Dell replaced it promptly. Weve had no problems with the replacement or the other two laptops. My reporters never used the feature where you use it like a tablet, but I did and it broke for no reason.

Very satisfied with this Dell Inspiron laptop including the 8th gen Intel® Core™ i5 processor, 8GB of Ram and back-lit keyboard along with the HD quality screen. The facial recognition software is a plus. Read some reviews on this laptop downgrading the screen brightness (I found no problem with it) and no-so-friendly keyboard (I found no problem there, also). The only negative I somewhat agreed with was the square corners on the case not being more rounded, and if I had children I would have been hesitant in buying it for that reason alone. Overall, very satisfied with product and happy that I purchased it during the Prime Deals period. A big improvement over my old HP tablet laptop.

This is smaller than the computer I bought it to replace, but everything I try to look at is blurrier and looks worse, because it has to be resized from, I guess, iphone-size to the size of the actual screen. My old computer has a default scale of 100% and looks crisp and nice. This one has a default scale of 150% and gives me a headache to even look at, not to mention that at maximum brightness it is very noticeably dim, with a yellowish tint. Do not recommend for artists or people who enjoy looking at things. Update: within the first few sessions of use, Im already noticing an overheating problem.

I was utterly disappointed with this computer. Not even 3 months after i had purchased the computer, it started NOT recognizing the A/C cable plug in. I ended up sending it to Dell for repairs. I got it back almost a month later. At the end of the warranty, I started getting a bunch of emails to extend the warranty. Since I hardly use this laptop, and because it was working fine, I decided not to extend their warranty. Well guess what, as soon as the warranty expired, the on button no longer functions. I either have to pay for the repairs or pray that I can fix it myself. Neither one is a good proposition. This is not the first bad experience I have had with Dells. I dont recommend these computers at all.

I bought this to replace a Dell XPS 13 that died suddenly. While it doesnt have the fancy aluminum case, thin bezel and carbon fiber hand rest of the XPS, this Inspiron has a newer 8th generation processor, twice the SSD space, a touch screen and nice form flexibility. I got it all set up and have found that it has a good looking screen, reasonably fast performance for a laptop and I like the ability to use it as a laptop or as a tablet. The performance and strong features for a price point of just $650, make this a very attractive choice if you are looking for a laptop of this size.

Some time ago, I bought a refurbished one from a prestigious retailer, not Amazon, and went pretty bad, specially the return side of the experience. Anyways, I sent an email to Michael Dell, whaaaaat?, yes I did, Mr Dell responded almost immediately, and sent me and upgraded special edition of same model. From point on I buy Dell, 6 or 7 so far, best lap tops out there, trust me. And, having the owner answered your frustration is the best part.

I really like this computer. The price was very affordable for a quality computer. It’s well made and had nothing but good experiences with Dell’s in the past. The keyboard is comfortable to use even after hours of typing. It’s nice to have the option of a touchscreen as well. I like that the keyboard is backlit so at low light you can easily see. I also like that the computer can be put into different positions. It’s good for watching movies and it’s sunny where I live so I can adjust for glare. The only thing I wish is that it came with Microsoft Office already installed as I needed to buy it separately.

This product works amazing. After replacing Asuss 2 in 1 laptop this was the best deal i got, though i payed more. The product arrived way before the delivery date. Initially the fan inside the laptop was making loud noise. But after some hours it slowed down and now its working absolutely okay. The laptop was super fast and i really liked the quality.

Replaced my MacBook Pro with this a couple months ago, and so far Im in love with it! The 2-in-1 ability is something I use constantly since I commute to work and school, I would recommend buying a decent stylus pen though. Its fast and the graphics are good. If youre looking for a reliable school computer this is definite contender! Nothing too fancy, but definietely has its aw-factor. Battery life is the only thing thats a little lacking for me, but as long as you use energy saver mode youre good to go. Overall a great purchase and Id definitely recommend it!

I absolutely love this product. It is light, and ideal for traveling with. Has a SSD with more than adequate storage for my needs, more than enough RAM, more than enough CPU speed/performance for everything I do. Battery life is ~ 7h. The network connectivity chip of this PC is a welcome change from my last PC (an HP which struggled with connecting to Wifi). This laptop immediately locks in to the nearest WiFi extender in my home - or any other WiFi I connect it to. LOVE the back-lit keyboard (my MUST-HAVE feature). Just the perfect PC for me. Very happy - No hesitation recommending this product.
