I purchased one set about a month ago, encountered a few issues such as device driver etc., in particular to USB. I spent about $50 to get it fixed from device support; however still buggy. Others are sleek.

I disliked I had to use my tools to tighten 3 screws on the back of the computer as they protruded above the level of the laptop. My fingers were grazed while examining the laptop.

I got the model with the 1 TB hard drive and 16gb Optane. Its not bad, but the Optane is no substitute for a real SSD. I saw online that there are other models of the Swift 3 with full SSDs instead of Optane, and Id recommend getting one of them. Another disappointment is that the USB 3 ports are not as fast as the ones on my desktop computer. I tried to transfer a backup copy of my C drive to an external SSD, using the USB 3.1 (type C) port, and it was no faster than using a regular USB 3 port. Also, its NOT a touchscreen. Having said that, if you want a nice lightweight laptop with great battery life, then this one is a good deal for the price. I ended up replacing the Optane memory with a 500GB M.2 NVME drive (Crucial P1) This cost me $180 for professional installation, but now I have a 500 GB "C" drive and 1 TB "D" drive, and the laptop runs MUCH better than before. However, it would have been a lot easier to just get the one with the SSD in the first place.

I purchased this laptop to replace a 14-inch Lenovo Flex with an Intel Pentium processor. It had been a while since I had a machine that packed a punch in the processor department, and this laptop looked like a suitable replacement/upgrade. I have not been disappointed at all. The battery life is great, even running Linux. For those interested, I backed up the entire system and installed Linux on day one. The best distribution for this laptop appears to Arch (in any of its flavors). Right now Im using Manjaro (was on Antergos before they ended the project). If you decide to install Linux (dual boot or not), just know that you will have not microphone and the fingerprint sensor does not work (no drivers for either just yet). This is fine for me because I either use wireless headphones or a Blue usb microphone for video chats. If you decide to install as a dual-boot, that may be tricky. Youll need to turn off optane in the bios in order to perform the installation. You can turn it back on after the installation. Other than the microphone and fingerprint scanner issues, this machine runs Arch Linux perfectly. The physical footprint of this laptop is actually similar to a 14-inch laptop. This is made possible partly due to the "scrunched" number pad. That said, if spend a lot of time crunching numbers, this may not be the laptop for you. The chassis is sturdy, the laptop is lightweight, and the gold color is actually more subtle than what I initially expected (for someone who doesnt necessarily like flashy colors). In all, Im very pleased with this purchase. It runs Windows great, is a perfect Linux machine (aside from those two issue above), and is sleek and lightweight - a portable powerhouse. You will not be disappointed.

after having the laptop for a few months. I decided to get a bigger ssd or additional hdd for the laptop. I tried to contact acer tech support and I get zero help from them! They said they do not support any upgrade. I have HP, Dell and other laptops in the past and have no problem get information for upgrade. Dont understand why Acer cant provide same level of support. I am not buying Acer any more.
