The laptop was extremely slow. did not give a feel of a new laptop. I am an IT professional and had to run heavy softwares and virtual machines. this laptop didnt work and i had to return it.

Ive been using this laptop for a week, but its very slow, whether its with starting up or opening different apps, and moving between different apps. Im not a fan of this laptop, I think it might be bearable. Also, the touchpad has very poor response, it takes forever for the touchpad to sense your touch and go somewhere, that makes it so frustrating.

When I received the laptop it came with "bloatware", but after all those apps were installed the computer ran fast. Perfect for school work, can run medium-low end games on 50 - 60 fps. Id say all around its good for all my uses and more.

Not too impressed with the computer itself. From the time I started it up, it took between 5 to 10 minutes to go from a black screen to the home screen. Then after that I got a blue screen and the computer just seems to have a lot of issues that arent worked out yet and Im not sure if Im going to keep it or not. Seems like just too many issues for brand new computer and then it just kept doing updates which a new computer shouldnt have to do that.

I despise how quick the battery goes dead. Its like its not even a new battery at all. Its VERY slow to turn on. I also would have definitely gotten a laptop with back-lit keyboard.

4/27/2019 Received product timely with Amazon Prime. I plugged in my new laptop, a very sweet voice came thru the speakers and literally walked me thru each step. It was seamless and did not take long, I did not purchase this for gaming so I cannot provide a commend. I recommend for gamers to purchase a gaming laptop if that is your need. The price is within my budget. Yes the touch screen works!! I did not have to do anything except gently lay my index finger on the screen and give it a little swipe, nice touch. I set the screen brightness down a little for my comfort level and to save my eyes. Images and verbiage are sharp. The sound is clear and the volume can be turned up quite high. I downloaded Chrome as my browser as no need for "Edge". Good screen size, reasonably light as far as weight. I wanted a laptop with a DVD player, I inserted a back up disc from a prior software purchase and downloaded Microsoft Office 2016 (I dont care for Office 365, personal preference). It did not take long to download the entire Office 2016 it works great and does not slow my laptop down. I had an HP prior and was pleased it was time to upgrade thus the reason for this purchase. I do not watch movies so I can not share this experience, however when viewing You Tube videos, pics and sound are good and do not lag (I have high speed Internet). I did not install additional virus protection as what it comes with is sufficient but that is your option if you want to. I needed a ten key numerical key pad on the left of the keyboard and this product provided it. The only downfall so far is the keys are not back lit. Good price for what I got. I am able to create multiple and huge spreadsheets in excel with no issues. l recommend this product to others.

Solid laptop for the price. For 8 gigs of ram and a dual core processor, it ran pretty slow in the beginning. I closed out some of the bloatware and it’s been solid. Still runs a bit slower than I expected, but overall it’s been decent. Speakers are good for a laptop. Video quality is pretty good as well. UPDATE: still runs slow, despite my best efforts... and I am a technical guy. Some days it runs so slow, I have to walk out of the room and come back after a while and it will finally be done loading. I will have to call HP, since it’s still under manufacturer warranty. All I have on it is anti virus/malware protection and the Microsoft suite. No reason it should be this rough to use.
