I recently started a new career where I am sitting at a desk and typing large amounts of information on a daily basis. This was a big change from my time in teaching where I my life did not revolve around a desk and electronic communications. I purchased this keyboard in hopes of having a comfortable, minimal(ish) desk where typing would be as effortless as it is on my Surface Pro. I longed for a keyboard with low-profile keys so that I could type easily and avoid fatigue. Unfortunately, after about a month of trying to love this keyboard, I have decided to send it back for its lack of reliable typing. Often, this keyboard would drop letters or refuse to backspace without 5-10 hits of the backspace key to get the cursor moving. At first, I thought that I needed to re-pair the device with the transmitter. I did a re-pair, several times to no avail. The letters T and O were often left out of any all all words I might have typed in a paragraph. Spaces were hit or miss causing never ending words and sentences. The amount of time it took to go back and correct these issues was time consuming and annoying, for lack of a better word. In a last ditch effort, I thought it might be my unusually old government-issued computer, however, when paired with other devices, the same unreliable behavior occurred. For now, it is back to a bulky, high-set keyboard where I feel as, dare I say, am typing on a typewriter, or at least a keyboard from when I was in elementary school :) The high keys make typing difficult but at least I can write an assignment in a reasonable amount of time and not have to backtrack to ensure things typed are actually showing on the document.
